Oh wow that's adorable. Wish they could've done other character's though like maybe Lady and her pups, or would it be wrong if I said Mother Gothel and Rapunzel??? hehe

OMG! I soooooo want that! Im a mommy AND I collect Winnie the pooh for my oldest daughter (shes 3, I collect for her still)

Rather than Rapunzel and Gothel... perhaps Rapunzel and her queen mother. Theres a great side profile face to face clip in the movie. (brown hair Rapunzel)

what about Ariel and her mother(from little mermaid 3 )

and I love the idea of raprunzel and queen mother.

I actually like the Rapunzel and Mother Gothel idea. Though I admit that's because I'm in the minority who believe Gothel did have some level of affection for her XP

I'd buy a pin of that in an instant XD

You see! That exact picture could've been a nice pin! :) haha Yes, mother Gothel took care of Rapunzel in some way...
Any psychology majors wanna jump in? hehe

I also think that rapunzel pin would be a brilliant idea because i collect rapunzel myself. And the ariel and her mother would be cute too! In fact i didn't know about ariel's mom untill now.

yeah little mermaid 2 really sucked I don't even collect it! That is one of my dream pins and think i'll draw some concept art maybe we'll see...
Also what about at the debute for brave why not Merida and her mother? their relationship is the focusing poin of the movie.

just a thought. Also what other mother pins should they make?

I happen to *love* the idea of a Mother Gothel/Rapunzel pin, but just simply because of how *wrong* that would be (even though I do agree that the above picture would make a beautiful pin). I'm not a psychology major by any stretch of the imagination (I did take a few psych classes far too many years ago) - and the first thing that came to mind when watching Tangled was 'Stockholm Syndrome.' I'm not sure if it's an accurate diagnosis (as above, any psychology majors want to weigh in?), but it was my first thought.

I didn't know about Ariel's mother until now, either (I never saw Little Mermaid 2 or 3), so I'm not sure how 'solid' a pin idea that would be. I do, however, also love the idea of a pin with Merida and her mother - especially since what I've seen of that relationship indicates that it will be a very, um, interesting and challenging mother/daughter relationship (just look at Merida's face in the picture above - priceless - and that also would make a great Mother's day pin, IMO).

Other Mother's Day pins they should make would be Max and his Mother ... but we'd first have to know who she is ... .

YES! I LOVE this Kanga and Roo pin! What a surprise! Are there any of these still left? I definitely need one for my Mother's Day collection.

Some very interesting ideas in this thread, and I love them all! And I have one or two of my own.

I've been saying for years that I really need a "Bug's Life" Mothers Day pin! Princess Atta and Queen Ant, or Princess Dot and Queen Ant. Additionally, Dot's Blueberry Troop called Francis (the male ladybug) their "den mother". That would make a funny Mother's Day pin! But I don't know if everyone would get the joke.

Like some of you, I definitely can't wait for a Queen Elinor (from Brave) pin, and I think a Mother's Day pin would be a good excuse to make one. I'm also hoping they'll eventually get to do a Mumbear/Triplet Cubs pin, similar to
[pinpics]81346[/pinpics] DSF Kevin and Babies Mother's Day Pin from 2011.

Ummm... lets see... OH! I'd LOVE to have a Coral Mother's Day pin! She is like the epitomy of what a mother is, you know? She gave her life trying to save her babies. How could they do a Coral Mother's Day pin, though? Maybe just a pin of Coral by herself, that says "Mother's Day 2013". Or maybe Nemo holding a picture of Coral? Ehh, on second thought, that is too sad.

Mother's day pins in general are tough to think of for Disney movies, as most of their movies don't have a mother. I'm not saying this is bad, just stating a fact. Because if the main character(s) had a mother to protect them, most of the adventures and/or dangerous situations would never happen in the first place... then there would be no story, and thus, no movie.

Stockhold Syndrome sounds about right. I heard that's the case in Beauty and the Beast as well, don't you think so?

I also *love* Isaac's idea about Tiana and her mother!! That's a super good one, I didn't think of them! :)

I never thought about Beauty and the Beast quite that way before ... and now, I don't ever think I'll see it in the same light again. I think you're absolutely right; Rapunzel just became, well, neurotic, and Belle ended up falling in love with the Beast - but I think both outcomes are in accordance with the same diagnosis.

I also happen to love the idea of Tiana and her mother for a Mother's Day pin. I don't know why I didn't think of it, but it would be so sweet.
