Limited Edition 17" Collector Dolls Information

Well, got my confirmation email, my dolls are on their way...yay!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! hope the uk will also get the frozen dolls....will have to save up....omg, my poor wallet, and christmas is coming up lol!!! Oh well..........needs must!
 
So I'm really glad I ordered my Ursula and Eric online, the CMs at my disney store is so sketchy... So when I called the cast member said they had 4 Ursula and 4 Eric's, but when I called again to ask how it will be release as far as raffle or first come first serve the cast member said 3 Ursula and 3 Eric's like 1 just vanished... When I was in the store today to pick up Ariel I saw them do the raffle for BATB and there were more people than dolls... so of course a few people left sad... I was still checking out when after all the people left I saw the CM pull out a BATB for another CM to ring her up, and she wasn't even in the raffle! So i'm pretty sure they hold stuff for each other, and not follow the rules.
 
I can't wait to see what the frozen 17 dolls will look like. New characters are usually always easier to get because many people don't have a connection with the character since their movie isn't out yet.

I can totally understand the frustration, especially if they are holding a number of them, but the cast members should have a shot at purchasing these items as well. If I worked at a DS right now with all these dolls coming out, especially today with all the LE Little Mermaid dolls and then 2 weeks from now with the Ariel FDD and was told that just because I am a cast member I can't purchase them, I would be crushed and I think a lot of us would be too. I would hope that if there was an employee who they know really wanted a doll, has a favorite character etc, that they would have some sort of system where they could participate too. If the rule is you get whatever is left over, IF something if left, that is just sad. I think I would honestly cry :cry:, they basically don't stand a chance then.

This is so true! LE Merida hung around on the UK site for a while probably because the awareness and thus demand for her merchandise was less so I was able to buy two! I hope the same thing happens with the Frozen dolls when they're released over here. And hopefully they'll be a big production size so we all get a fair chance to buy one!
 
Anyone know any stores that might have Ursula ans Eric left...I have 2 friends that ordered last night and their orders were cancelled today....they both have called locally and their stores are sold out...I'm trying to help them out cause I feel so bad for them :-(

i don't think they can be shipped out though because they are LE items, but as far as I know, most places sold out already :/
 
I just got home from picking up my Ariel at my local Disney Store. The CM brought out two dolls for me to look over as she felt they were the best two of the five they had left and I agreed they were both very nice and ended up picking the one with the more classic gravity-defying bangs Ariel possesses. And boy am I glad I went with that one! She is number FIFTY (50!!!) out of 6000. I've NEVER gotten an edition number that low before. So stoked!

I'm also so, so glad I was one of the like, seven people who was able to order the complete DFTC because the CM told me that 48 people showed up for 18 Belle dolls this morning. It's getting worse and worse for them, and Ariel/Eric will be the absolute worst! I think everyone will still have a good chance online tonight, though.

I didn't think to ask about Frozen 17" dolls, but I will next time I'm there (probably in a few days, ha ha ha). I hope we get some leaked pictures of them soon!

I totally agree that they cast members should have a chance, but they should do it fair and square... put their names in the drawings with the rest of the folks... It's only fair or have to be first come first serve as well when they participate at a different store. Just no dibs on it like what I saw today.
 
I'm sorry but I don't have any info for you. I was hoping to get Ursula and Eric so that I could give them to people on here who missed out, but those darn scalpers got them before my family could even ask about the dolls.

However, do we know if the Anna doll pre-order will be online? I'm currently in college and my closest Disney store is over two hours away. I absolutely have to have her!
 
Cast members have their own system for getting the dolls as they are not allowed to stand in line with guests and they are not allowed to participate in raffles. It is a lot harder to get an LE doll as a cast member than it is as a standard guest- trust me, the CM at your store who was allowed to purchase was probably one out of very, very few.

At least their is a system. I would be so heartbroken if I were a CM and their was no way of getting one. :)
 
Woohoo! Finally a confirmation email for Ursula and Eric! Still just waiting for my Ariel to ship :( - hope it's soon!

And congrats to everyone who wanted their dolls and got them, whether in store or online, and sorry to those who missed out. I've noticed a few people on here getting more than one set so hopefully someone can help you out :) :)
 
I was told by a CM , actually 2 of them that they aren't suppose to buy them anywhere except online and online no discount. Supposedly this is corporate policy.
 
Hey guys, I received my Ariel yesterday and deboxed her today. She's currently sitting with me chillin' out xD. I have to admit though, I couldn't stand having all that glue in her hair. I had to wash it out. So while her curls aren't as dramatic and it took a bit of the poof out of the top of her head, at least now I can run my fingers through her hair. What do you guys think?

My store only had 1 Ursula and no Erics! Doesn't that seem odd? Why would corporate even bother to send 1 LE doll and none of the other one?
