I'm okay with Aurora being in Pink I guess..... I mean she actually look good in them...... I still remember when I was a kid, ( in Asia, don't know about in the states) they used to make merch of Cinderella in pink, you know, the signerture dress, but in PINK......... She really does not look good in them..... (IMO) but at least she was feature in her strawberry blonde hair ;p
 
I actually hope Aurora is in pink because we already have a lot of girls in blue. There was Cinderella, Alice, and Snow Queen Elsa while blonde Rapunzel is the only doll with hints of pink in her dress. If they put Aurora in blue I hope it's a deep royal blue because light blue has been done so much already in this line.
 

I am with you 100%, I cringed when I heard Miley and Carly's version of "Part of Your World", I understand that Disney wants to appeal to other audiences by creating more popish versions, but the originals are the ones that make them the beautiful songs they are. I don't mind Demi's version, to me its just ok, but I can live with it. I think Idina's version is iconic and its my favorite of the two.
 

I don't count those versions redone decades after the original pop versions.
 


I wish I had paid more attention to doll releases when I first starting collecting! I missed out on a lot! It's been a little expensive to back track, but totally worth it =)

The thing is, not counting sleeping beauty, if Disney wants to continue they are going to run out the princess characters really fast. They have Jasmine (with possible Aladdin and Jafar) next year. They skipped Pocahontas and Mulan during their dvd releases, so they may go back and do those characters but then again, they may not because they were passed over once. I thought they would do tinkerbell for Peter pans bluray release, but nothing then either. So we are almost definitely guaranteed Jasmine and the rest is all hypothetical.

The cynic in me thinks there is no way they will stop so long as they are making money. They will finish the first cycle of the vault titles in spring 2016. Then Snow White (movie) will likely be released again. That's when we will see if they will truly stop the line of dolls or not. I also wouldn't put it past them to stop the LE 17" line and start some other new line of LE Dolls.
 
Do you think we will get three dolls for Aladdin when it releases as a Diamond Edition in 2015 (sorry if this has already been asked)? I am expecting dolls of Aladdin, Jasmine, and Jafar to be released. Aladdin is one of Disney's more popular and bigger films, and they seem to release more merchandise for these "bigger" films like The Little Mermaid last year for example. Plus, it has the Disney D23 expo backing it up just like The Little Mermaid. I would love to get all three, but I would be fine with just getting a Jafar seeing he is one of my favorites :3.
 
They also could, after cycling through their current lineup, start over again with the alternate designs/dresses (Cinderella's rags, Ariel's dress, Belle's blue dress...)

I feel like the alternate outfits would be, I dunno, not as successful. It worked out for Anna and Elsa but I think they're the exception to the rule. Most people would want the LE's in the iconic dresses/outfits and I think alternate clothing is more successful in the designer lines of 12" dolls. I dunno if they'd continue on with the 17" series, although I think for sure the designer lines will keep changing (I'm sure most people have seen the sketches like the one on this tank http://www.disneystore.com/disney-princess-tank-tee-for-women/mp/1348544/1000228/#longDesc) since there are limitless possibilities for those ones. Maybe they'll go through and release secondary characters or male characters that weren't released the first time (Anastasia and Drizella for Cinderella, the Evil Queen for Snow White, Facilier and Naveen for PATF, etc) or they'll pull a DFDC and put couples in the boxes together xD Actually, I can see them just releasing more princess movies in order to keep up the merch craze they've created the past few years. One thing for sure is that I might not be able to resist LE Jasmine and actually, I really hope they put out a mug for her! I love the Anna and Elsa ones, the art of Ariel ones they released earlier and I have some nice tea cup style mugs of Cinderella, Belle, Aurora and Alice, but nothing of Rapunzel or Jasmine unfortunately. I know they released the DFDC and previous designer mugs, but it's not quite the same to me

It does suck pretty bad that they skipped out on Pocahontas and Mulan. I would have loved dolls of them. I dont think its fair that princesses like them get less attention and care because they are less popular, but Disney only sells what they think sells :sad:. Maybe one day we will get dolls of them or at the very least a lot more attention and merchandise.

I honestly think they will release Pocahontas and Mulan as well. Pocahontas has an anniversary coming up next year I believe, or maybe the year after. Also there are still a lot of Disney characters that they could release dolls on. Yes they skipped Tink but that doesnt meant that they couldn't do a surprise release for her. Whilst they didnt release a Tink last year they did release China Doll so that means that they could definitely release one non princess doll and one princess doll a year at least until 2017 then in 2018 you have the new princess Moana. So there are still a lot of possibilities. Also after the whole change in the Disney Animator line it wouldnt surprise me if the did a second round of the Disney princesses as LE dolls, so different versions of the same character.

Finally there are several characters that they did omit from previous years such as the Evil Queen, Pocahontas, Mulan, Tinker Bell, Meg, Esmerelda and the list could go on so I can definitely see Disney getting a few more years out of these series of dolls. At least they will keep doing so until the hype either dies down or is killed by Disney's corporate greed LOL.
 
I always seem to like princess's "day/adventure" outfits better, I would LOVE a Briar Rose LE doll, and Snow white's rags look with the wooden shoes....also I really hope they do a Pocahontas and Mulan doll, they are two of my favorite princesses! I just wish that character's such as Kida and Esmerelda were more popular so that there would be a change for them becoming LE dolls -_-
 
Esmeralda has a wonderful outfit it could be an amazing doll if only it would be released.
I would also love to see the Muses from Hercules as LE dolls, it would be very interesting, I think.

I would love to see Esmeralda as well, her red dancing dress especially would look amazing. I would say that the changes that we get 17 inch LE Esmeralda would be extremely low. But perhaps there will be a designer collection Esmeralda, surely at some point if the dolls continue selling there will be more characters included.
 
So many characters I would love to see 17" dolls for. Pocahontas, Meg, Esmeralda, Hercules, Hades, Dr. Facilier, Naveen, Charlotte, Eugene, Triton, Vanessa, Mulan, Walt, Aladdin, Jasmine, Jafar, I wont include any from Sleeping beauty because I really think we will see them (Aurora, Philip and Maleficent), I really doubt they wont do them, I will be heart broken if they dont. I would die for a doll of Athena!

Once of my fantasy lineups for dolls would be Disney Parents Designer Dolls, it would be amazing to see dolls of Rapunzel's parents, Ariel's, Mulan's, Tiana's and Aurora's ♥♥♥, I would faint if Disney announced this, I have been wanting them so bad. A girl could dream....
 
I'm astounded at the prices the frozen dolls are going for. I've seen at least 2 end today at around £310 that's over $500 I'm very tempted to sell mine if that's what they are going for. I need money to fund my holiday but I'm undecided. Well their price ever come down do you think?
 

I do too! I think it brings out their beauty more. The whole 'rags cannot hide her gentle beauty' thing. It would be nonsensical and difficult to glam up rags though. I think it's possible for Belle and Aurora, whose normal clothes are peasant clothes and not rags. Probably not for Snow and Cinderella though.
