On the 15th you can pre-order the MOVIE in stores.

On the 29th you can pre-order the LE 17 DOLL in stores (and online).

This was told to me by the manager of our DS. Who has never been wrong on a date.

Please quit running around like chickens with their heads cut off!
 
My DS said the preorder for the movie will be the 29th, so I am betting the 29th for the movie and the doll.

That's what my store told me as well. =/ But of course they are going to be closed to remodel during the preorder, so I'm going to have to drive an hour down to San Diego to preorder it because I want the voucher too
 
Yeah just went to my store and at first they told me the 15 bit the it got pushed to the 29 and that's when the doll will be released and there will be an ursula doll and the designer collection will be available to preorder online as well but no confirm date for them
 
Do you guys think Ursula will be full-figured? I know the LE Queen of Hearts was made thin, but then I hope because of the backlash Designer Ursula got that they'll consider making her properly.

Obviously we'll have to wait and see, but I'm curious as to what you guys expect / hope.

Damn do I ever hope she'll have her correct body type, but I'm a little worried that they'll give her the same body all the other LE dolls have just because it's almost like a series of dolls that all go together.

Sadly? No matter what, I know I'm lining up for her the day she comes out.
 
Well let's put it this way, I'm going to be up at midnight for both dates. There's no way I'm missing out on this Ariel doll. And I really hope the site doesn't crash...

Ursula has to be full figured. They were able to get away with it last time because it was a Designer doll, but they don't have that excuse to hide behind this time.
 
^ I agree a lot of people would be upset if they made her skinny again. The Queen of Hearts they could get away with because she isn't as popular as Ursula and they kind of combined the animated character and the Helena Bonham Carter version for the LE doll. So it was passable. But there's no excuse not to have Ursula showing off her body language in all her glory for the LE doll. With this news of Ursula I am so excited for the LE Maleficent doll that has a 99.9% chance of coming out next year :rock:!

But let' not get ahead of ourselves :naughty:
 
What I wanna know is how would it fit on a stand or if it would be like the Greatest Villains collection doll and have a different type of stand. I can imagine the box being sideways to fit her tentacles though.
 
I have a quick question. The closest real disney store near me is and hour and a half to 2 hours away, my aunt is gunna take a trip to that mall with my on the 29th so i can go and preorder the Ariel doll! now i wanna know if it is possible to preorder the doll in store and have it shipped to me at home? I dont know if I would be able to make the trip back in october so i just want to be sure i wont be left without a doll! thank you!!!!!
 
Still no news from my manager/Disney Store on the Ariel release. She even asked on their private forum/message board about it, saying a bunch of customers are asking already and wondering if there's a date. Thus, I'm now thinking it's gonna be a 29th release. Sadly though, it seems I'm going to have to compete with a mess-load of people seeing as so many people are already asking at my local store! And interestingly enough, she's not sure if the second doll is to be Ursula or Vanessa yet. For her, there has been no clarification either way, so Vanessa's still a possibility!

I don't think that they will ship it to you, sorry about that. Also, since she is so popular you will want to get there a few hours before the store opens because there will be people in line waiting to get her as soon as the store opens. Unfortunately since my store will be closed to remodel I am in the same position you are in and will have to drive an hour to the next nearest store to get her
 
Okay, I went to the store again and they said due to some misunderstanding around dates, the pre-order for the doll and dvd will be on the 29th. She said that probably we will know around next friday.
 
meeeh..thanks ill try my best to get there early but i dont know if ill be able to. i spoke to a cast member though and they said if i am one of the few who gets the pre order they will hold it for 6 months for me to have a chance to get back there and get it!

*EDIT* okay so ive never done an in store preorder for one of these dolls (i really want to do it in person for this one and get the voucher and see it in person for Ariel as she is my favorite)

so in your guys opinion, what time would be best to get there? the store opens at 10 and the mall opens at 5. i figure 5 is probably the BEST shot but seeing as it is an hour to 2 hours away thats a liiiittle early for me and my aunt to drive there. so what time would you think would be best? if it is 5 i will make that sacrifice but if you think i can get there later that would be great! lol

Went into work today and we finally got the display doll in. Was told it will be the 29th. We have no other info at all yet... And no word on a second doll at all for us.

Thanks so much for confirming the date for us. That does sound about right anyway as Cinderella did come out for preorder around the end of July last year. Can't wait! Just a bit over 2 weeks to go! :D
 
Hey Guppy. It's one day, I say get there early and treat your aunt to breakfast or something. You'll always have the option of a nap later. Plus, you'll have the voucher which will re-energize you since you'll know that you do indeed have the doll. Not yet, of course, but you get the picture. ;)

And tdscm, any word on the potential surprise release villain? ;) That's who I want, no matter what form. :D

I spoke to my aunt and she agreed with you guys! haha she said she'd be disappointed if we didnt get it so she's perfectly fine going that early! (you should know she not an ancient aunt at all lol she closer to my age than she is my moms!) but yeah she said she remembers having to go to the store hours early for beanie babies as well lol!

so do i pay in full at the store when i preorder it or when i go back to get the doll i pay?

You pay for it the day you preorder it, if you preorder in store.
