I'm not sure if anyone has gone through any extensive research on the topic of PODM scenes, but I thought this would be a good place to ask.

My grail TLK PODM scene includes Simba and Nala with Zazu in the scene just before the big Just Can't Wait to Be King number in the movie. I saw it being sold on eBay once on the day the pins came out. I was wondering if anyone has ever seen a PODM with those three characters together. Did they only make one of them?? Perhaps only 3 or 4 were made and I shouldn't bother trying to get a hold of one?

Thoughts??
 
I'm really not sure but I understood each PODM series was LE 2000 and was "unique" cause there were not 2 identical scene. If someone could correct me that would be great
 
2000 PoDMs


There's usually somthing like
1000 of scene A
500 of Scene B
250 of Scene C
Then the last 250 is broken up between some really random smaller editions like 100, 50, 25, 10, 5, 5, and 5


But some are a little different, like Mulan was reallllllly close to 500 for the "Reflections" scene, then 250, 250, and then 3 x 100 for a few other scenes then a few 50's and the smallest ones were like 5-10 but there were more grail scenes then ever.

Some movies were virtually all on really long sequence (I think Peter Pan was one)


Lion Kings Was somthing like:

250 Opening Scene

500 Close up Morning - Walking out

500 Simba and Mufasa looking over Pride Lands

300 Simba and Mufasa In the Pride Lands (The Zazu scenes are included in this)

250 Simba and Nala Bathing Scene

50 Scar and Simba

And the reset are the Grub scenes, Simba and Nala only saying "Please!", Rafiki only, Zazu only and Adult Simba walking across the log (Apparently there's about 4 of them and I THINK the AP or PP one is this also for a total of 5 of them)
 
Ever hear the saying "shoot for the moon even if you miss you land among stars"? Don't ever give up looking for it!! I was told certain scenes don't exist and came to find out they do and now I'm going to own one! One of my Grails as you can see below the LM LE 100 that's crossed off I thought would take me a minimum of a year to get (as I feel about most of my Grails) but it didn't! you never know what you may stumble upon just keep searching I've never seen that scene but I hope you find it! If I see it ill surely think of you!! Hopefully some one who has it to trade will see this and pm you! Good luck :)

Don't know how many there are, but I've been trying while looking on ebay all the time, to save the pictures of the scenes for a while now, mainly the same ones pop up.
 
Im new to podms having received 2 this week through trades.....I really like them, and am considering collecting them so this info is great! Thanks guys! I know some podms are signed (1 of the podms I traded for is signed) - were a certain number signed on release? or did you take it to get signed at a later date? How many would typically be signed? Thanks for any pointers. x

I think most of the ones you got signed you took yourself a day or two later back at WDW, but generally 100 were saved for this reason. ALTHOUGH I never saw anyone get theirs signed for the last 3 releases so I would seriously find a truthful friend from there to find out if they did or not, a signature in silver sharpie is NOT hard to fake ):

Maybe we should start a thread to compare signatures to see if there's any discrepancies? I have one lion king PODM that's signed on the PODM it self and the card, both look the same but I haven't seen any others. Mine isalready traded though!
 
How do you know how many scenes were done per movie? Are they estimates ?


AND does anyone know where we can see all the scenes (or a rough estimate of what kind of scenes) each of the 24 PoDMs have / were released?
