He's no longer a cast member, he was a cast member in the past. I feel like rumors about this whole night are spreading like wild fire so its nice to hear a first hand account from someone there early.
people are also saying there was 200 hotel guests but the realistic people say about 30. a lot of bitter people saying a lot of things. I dont blame them for being sad for not getting one but with it being frozen and being two per person at 750, you kind of had to expect some tough competition.
lol. 200. I didnt hear that one. yeah it was around 30.
dont forget there was a vinylmation release too. some vinylmation people that are oblivious to pins were trying to figure out why there were so many people for this release.
A few of is were able to help a vinylmation collector get some boxes. In return, we were able to get a PTN Anna pin for someone who was back in line without a wrist band. It never hurts to make friends with people in line.
We use to go to pin releases all the time and truthfully the ones that had the least complaining were the ones that we were able to camp out by the tram. Those were some fun nights!
Everyone that has been collecting any length of time knows that Disneyland never truly enforces the time to get in line. The only year I really got upset with them was one time when they lined everyone up in the parking lot and then escorted the line down to the front for the wristbands. I am disabled and only had my walker then. So many people jumped in front of me because I could not keep the pace of the line. I still got the pin we were trying for but I just wanted to cry I was so frustrated. I felt they didn't properly monitor the line and didn't understand why they had to bring the line to the front verses bringing the wristbands to the back. I was glad to see that change. I still miss the "overnighters" though. We would stay up all night playing games and laughing.
Glad to hear you all survived this crazy release! From the looks of all the photos & postings, this release made the DLR Haunted Mansion POH pin lines look tame by comparison! And from the Dizpins postings, THAT was a crazy release! I wasn't there, but heard plenty. Fortunately, I got my 2 HM POH pins in the standby line at 1:00pm instead, thank goodness!
