Loungefly is forcing Boxlunch and Hot Topic to impose a $2.99 surcharge per item on all preorder items online. This fee does not apply if you ship to store, but that no longer seems to be option for either stores these days, whether the pin is in stock or not. If you order 10 pins, it would amount to an additional surcharge fee of $29.90. This information was obtained directly from the BoxLunch site and BoxLunch customer service. If Loungefly is imposing this on one of their biggest customers, it will most likely start showing up on other sites for preorders as well, unless they roll it into their prices.

I was noting this also. Basically a 30% mark up on their pins, which both retailers regularly discount. So no discount and a 30% upcharge. Inflation hitting the pin market?
