March 2012 DSF Pin Releases
I want some of the coins, and the easter eggs would be cute to throw in my son's easter basket.

I like that they did some different characters with the tickets, when's the last time we had a Robin Hood pin? I'll be getting that one & Tangled for sure, will decide on Alice when I see it, & love the egg ones! I think its a DSF rule that they have to have either Stitch, Jessica, or Chip & Dale at every release so thats my theory as to why we have Jessica instead of Roger. Brer Rabbit, Oswald, or Miss Bunny would've been different & interesting for the eggs which I want them all except for the Jessica one, the big green spot behind her head looks weird IMO.

Ok, I'm odd. I want the Robin Hood pin just because I always sit in the Balcony vs the Orchestra at the El Capitan.

Hi,
Anyone want to do a pre trade for the two stitch ones???? I have Tiana uk and muppets uk (or any traders I have) would be happy to trade for upcoming pin if I manage to get hold of one????

Anyone else notice poor stitch is stuck in general admission while everyone else has a VIP seat

Also I bet we get a surprise release during the Eggs release of Roger Rabbit as part of the characters spelling Hollywood series

Ugh I wonder what the headaches will be like for the tickets, tangled+alice is definitely a recipe for big line-ups >.>

Rapunzel doesn't look like herself. It's like a Rapunzel impersonator. As far as the eggs, they could very well do another wave to include more rabbits next year. For the stained glass dragons they did, they did 2 waves and they were relatively far apart in release. Although as someone who has all but one (desperately still trying to get Maleficent) I was really disappointed that the two waves were not identical in design. I found that disappointing, but would be happy to see another wave of stained glass rabbits next year.

And someone commented that DSF does a lot of the same designs. I don't really agree, yes they do a lot of theater themed pins, but you have to remember they don't just cater to pin traders, but to tourists who are coming to the El Capitan, they're trying to make the pins relevant to non pin people, and well, they're branding. Beyond the theater themed pins that they do I think they have a lot more variety than DS.COM. Hell they recycle the same pin like crazy. I think DSF is more creative.

As far as DSF having a Jessica almost every release, good for them. I'm not really a Jessica collector, but I have a friend who is and it's hard to find Jessica pins, she's rarely released anywhere, so if DSF wants to be the place to promote her, good for them. It makes sense too, it's Hollywood and Jessica is a performer.

And I'm all about the Alice ticket, want.

Oh man!!!!!!!!!! I would looooooooove the Alice and Rapunzel Tickets pins, then maybe Robin hood too.........the Jack skellington coin..............I'd have them all lol!!! Great pins!! Shame I'm in the uk :( Mind you, it's scary how much $$$$ I'd spend if I lived near there lol!!!! xx

I'm going to DSF for the ticket release March 17. I was wondering how early do I need to be in line for a LE 300 release? Please let me know. I've never done this before. thanks :)

You'll have to gauge others interests but for how hot Rapunzel pins are right now, I'd venture a guess of 5am-6am would guarantee you a pin. I've shown up for the Jessica Decade pins and the Stitch holiday pins at like 8am and still made it in. Those that aren't super interested or in it for the money will stumble in around 7:30 to 8am. People that got up late, or are there just in hopes of grabbing one after the mass line makes its way through, will come between 8 and 9am. I don't forsee an UP Valentines fiasco for any of these. The Rapunzel will be the best seller and be gone the quickest, so if you're willing to brave the early hours and cold, get there early to make sure you get one or two. Be sure to plan on getting the latest Pin Trader Delight. Often a new one ends up getting released at these bigger releases.

I just realized the ticket pins have the release year on them. I might have to collect those if they are going to be a continuing set. 5 years from now, this first release will be the hardest ones to get from people. Imagine a Wall-E and UP ticket eventually!?

Thank you! 5 am sounds good to me. I wasn't sure if Rapunzel would be another UP or not. And this time I get to go experience it for the first time myself :)

I showed up about 7:30am for last weekends release & event & was given a voucher for I think #116 & had no problem getting any of the pins, even the LE 150 Cheshire surprise release. The Easter Egg ones will probably be harder to get since they are all LE 150 which means 1 of each design per customer, guess I'll be getting up reaaalllyyy early that day-yuck!

Ummm interesting - not interested at all in the coin pins . . . . I like the ticket pins but I hope they look better in person - especially Rapunzel's face. Wow I cant believe the stained glass pins are $14.95 - anyone else think they are trying to "test the waters" with that to see if they can raise their prices?

Is that the first pin set they've had there for $14.95? Even the marquees & BTs are only $12.95. They better be huuuge & really nice for $14.95! I sure hope they arent trying to raise the prices, but look at how much they wanted for the 110 collection at DS.com, which kept me from buying alot of them, & now they've raised the prices on the Movie History pins $5 a pin.

Also, I can think of literally zero people who collect Roger Rabbit pins, and figuratively a million people who collect Jessica Rabbit pins. If they had done a Roger stained glass egg instead, a LOT MORE people would be complaining, "Why didn't they do Jessica instead? She's a 'rabbit' toooo!" Plus, Jessica has been a huge hit for the DSF. Why would they risk not selling 145 pins, when they could just go with the sure thing?

I collect Roger Rabbit. Jessica is only a rabbit in name and they totally did it because of sales.

7:30 would be nicer but now I'm not sure, it is a 3 hour drive for me, so driving @4:30 would mean more sleep, safer, etc...but I don't want to get there and no more Rapunzel :anxious:

Oh wow! I only have a 45 minute drive but I really HATE mornings which is why I got there about 7:30. I went to the first Jessica decades release & got there around the same time & waited in line until 11:15 to buy my pins & none were sold out. I think the Easter Eggs will be harder to get since they are LE150 & one of each design per person, the LE 300s you can get two of each. There have been so many releases where I've gone that evening or the next day & they had plenty of pins, you just never know, but seems alot of people want the Tangled one. What's funny is when the first Tangled pins came out there, the marquee, Maximus, the one of Flynn in the chair with her hair wrapped around him, they didnt sell out right away, in fact we went & got an extra Maximus almost 3 weeks after they came out!
