I know how much I love my Minnie as Alice and I know that there are a few others who are wanting her as well.

Please let me know if you are interested and I'll tell my friend!

Thanks!

When I was trying to buy her...before Carla zapped me!!!!!...she was selling for $300.... my friend is only asking $103! I tried to tell her it was worth a lot, but that's all she needs out of it.

There's one on ewbay right now for .99 and a couple that sold for well under $100, if that helps!

I'm not an expert on pins to be wary of or anything, but the seller who has one on ebay for 99 cents right now already sold two of the same pin and they are the ones that did not go for very much. Just a heads up as it seems a little fishy to me personally :dunno:

In any case all the best in your friend's sale, cjvandever! My mom has it and it really is such an adorable pin

I noticed that a particular person on EBay has sold this pin quite a few times over the past few months. It bums me out to think this pin might have been counterfeited. I'm not spreading rumor but how would this person have so many to sell?

I will out on a limb..since I am good at that..it is Faked. So is just about everything that seller has.... I bought a Jessica as Alice from them about 2 years ago..and it was bad. I was one of the first to note it in their feedback.

As an aside..I watch their auctions to know what is being faked out there.

i was afraid of that. There was just no way that this person could have so many of them. Boo.

Earlier this year, I saved a bunch of Ebay listings from a few "select" sellers. This pin was also sold by this seller on July 18 and Aug 12.

If the pin has not been faked it could easily be an issue of shilling. Sellers shill their listings all the time and of course their own (or their "friends") bids are the highest so they simply cancel the auction and then relist it hoping to get an actual bidder to pay the price they want for it but prefer to shill than to list it as a buy it now at the price they are hoping for. If you ever suspect a listing is being shilled you should report it. If they find no evidence of shilling it wont hurt the seller but usually there is a very, VERY clear case against them and they will be scolded, suspended and ultimately banned from eBay if they are caught doing it.

Everyone wants the best price when buying and the highest when selling, as with all things shopping around and patience are a winning combo for both.

*Side thought, I really think that even if an auction is private all the details of the bidding history with the seller should be available. It used to be you could see all of the info including the bidders names, since they have changed that I would think they would have done away with private auctions altogether because you are ultimately rewarding cheaters when you allow private auctions....what info is it exactly that they do not want potential bidders to see? You cant see the names so clearly its something very, VERY suspicious and I never buy from a listing be it a buy it now or auction with a seller with a history of privatizing their auctions.
