Once again an entire thread has not just been closed, it has been erased from ever existing at all! If you find a particular comment to be inappropriate or against the rules, why not edit the post and contact the poster about it? The thread itself should minimally be given a warning before being wiped from the face of the Earth.

This is getting out of hand and whoever is deleting entire threads because the content is controversial is doing a huge disservice to the entire collecting community. There are things being discussed in these threads that NEED to be out in the open and newer collectors in particular need the information. If DPF has been purchased by LANSAM/PINPICS, a simple acknowledgement would be nice. It cannot be a coincidence that the mysteriously disappearing threads are the ones that pertain to LANSAM/PINPICS.

It is important to know who is in bed with who and who it is that is censoring this forum and unilaterally deciding that the content of a particular thread should not be at the very least viewable to anyone interested in the content. If this is PinTalk2.0 let the members know.
 
I will be the first to raise my hand. I moved the thread while we look at it. At the beginning, the thread raised what some considered valid questions, and the conversation was polite and respectful. By the 3rd page, it turned into insults and arguing. I felt it was better to move the thread, look at it, and then return it with edits if needed, instead of trying to edit on the fly while others might be posting based on what they see pre-edit, or continue the argument which would then need to be edited again.

No one else contacted me about doing it, inside or outside the DPF family.

Edit - DPF has not been bought by anyone, and we have no issue with public conversation that remains polite, respectful and calm, regardless of the issue, but when a thread turns into sniping at one another, rude comments, etc, it will be looked at. As one poster mentioned, there are minors who do look at this site, as pin trading is for ALL AGES, as acknowledged by Disney themselves, so the threads here are meant to be read by ALL AGES!

Once again Molly, before you publicly pass your personal judgments on people you know nothing about since I highly doubt you've even met any of them. I DARE you to show one spread of hard evidence plainly showing without reasonable doubt that any of them have been as horrible and dirty as you and your friends like to make them out to be! What you are doing is morally wrong and pinpics is working hard to please everyone to the best of their abilities. Yes, the new site is not perfect yet. But it is NEW... Give it time and the bugs will be fixed as no one is perfect. Yes the grading services need more light shined on it possibly and I'm sure they will if they haven't already blogged about the details. You my dear are on a nasty personal vendetta to drag their name in the mud and that is not going to fly. Get over yourself and move on this is not a revolution, it's a freaking small piece of metal with paint on it!

I look forward to seeing it as well as the others that I have formally requested to be dug out of their unmarked graves. Saying this is a "family" forum is nonsense. Do you honestly want to publicly endorse pin trading/sales/exchanging of HOME addresses etc between children and strangers? You cannot possibly think that this is the proper response that is seeminly pulled out of a hat when no other logical excuse can be compiled.

"Children" have no place using this site unsupervised, this site was created in order for collectors to interact with other collectors, again NOT something a child should be doing without either CONSTANT adult supervision or some hardcore website restrictions that protect said "children" from giving out any personal information. Disney run sites have exactly those features because they are courting children, if this forum wants to stick by the position of "children may see a bad word and that's not ok", well you have a duty to those children and their families to do something about it.

How about setting up the site wide ability to block all bad words, oh right who is deciding what's bad again? If you allow your "children" to use ANY site that is not 100% preventing predators from obtaining sensitive information about them.....YOU FAILED AS A PARENT! If however the "children" in question are teenagers, I can guarentee you that them seeing a bad word on this forum is the least of your worries.

Your self professed "revalation" could not be further from the truth, I do not know Tiggernut personally and the only third party connection I have to her is one that could best be described as hostile, those that I talk to here know that to be the case and I am responding to the ignorant "revalation" not because your insinuations even deserve a response but becasue she and I have been both experienced first hand what LANSAM/PINPICS is capable of doing.

The rest of your diatribe is unworthy of my attention. Any further attempts to bait me into giving you step by step instuctions on how to remove your puckered lips from the netherregions of LANSAM/PINPPICS will be ignored. This is an issue to be discussed by those that don't need fake Internet notoriety to feel good about themselves, and therefore do not defend unscrupulous and tyrannical behavior on behalf of their fake employers. Oh and just as Disneyland was created by Walt for Children and parents to enjoy TOGETHER, so was Pin Trading! Pin Trading by no means is just an ADULT thing to do... That was not Walts vision for anything Disney related... Please re-think your statements.

Are you on drugs? The PROOF I have about what they did to me is verifiable by anyone that looks for my nonexistent pp account. As to "my site" pins are my hobby not my life. I would NEVER use my free time to make a pin site, would I donate money to someone else doing......yup and as I have said now several times THERE ARE SEVERAL PEOPLE DOING JUST THAT.

Back to step one Laz......GET A LIFE, A GRIP AND A CLUE. All of them are free, desperately needed and avialable right now! Consider yourself blocked as its clear your need to troll this forum outweighs your ability for rational thought.

I volunteer for pinpics as a blogger for all thing fun and grand at WDW and you know what? I COULD care LESS what they do on their site to get funding for a website we all benefit from! Why is all this bantering back and forth necessary. I missed the thread...THIS time...but LAST time it happened, I wasn't even involved and I was irritated that it was removed because as a collector I come here to stay informed and educated about the ins and outs of what's pertinent in the pin trading community...(although I am starting to feel like it should be referred to as the pin buying community.) As ADULTS we can form our own opinions as to who is a "Nut" or not and what information is true or not. That's why there is google....for research. I feel gipped that a few select people are deciding FOR ME what is important to be exposed to, and what needs to be hidden. Unless there is bad language, I feel that there is never a need to delete ENTIRE conversations because someone had an issue with it. I know that this is a private board (not corporate owned...) but it MUST have been created with general Joe Public in mind, or it wouldn't exist. What's with all the censoring?

I am not trying to sway anyone into anything, I am only advocating transparencies in ALL areas of this hobby. Clearly PP has made a long standing habit of bullying people into submission because of the fear of losing access to the database, how can you in good on science condone such thuggery?

My objections to that behavior does not make me a vilian, however your defense of it does make you as guilty as they ar, possibly wore as you used your position here to protect them from exposure.

Your analogies about severing ties with scandal ridden celebrities is not only misplaced its backasswards! All of the companies that were associated with the celebrities PAID the celebrities, are you saying PP PAYS DPF? Are you actually comparing my vocal protests to shady/sneaking/dirty business dealings to child molestation, dog fighting and drug abuse?

Are you all mentally challenged? I am fighting for the freedom of information and you are fighting for your pinpics links to work? Its time for some priority reassignments, if that simple luxury trumps promoting an honest, fair and LEGITAMATE pin trading/collecting community.....you need help and lots of it.

Just to be clear anyone not being directly responded to is not due to my lack of ability to school them, it is because they are on my ignore list and I cannot see their posts.

I will do my very best to keep on topic and not engage with those whose sole goal is to silence this issue and to provoke drama in order to justify this thread being closed or deleted.

I hope that others will contact the mods and request that this habit of deleting worthwhile threads stops. If it has to be close so be it, the information should not be erased, buried maybe removed from existence, no way.
 
Anyone have some popcorn? Seriously, I don't like to get involved in stuff like this. I don't mind reading constructive discussions on what is going on in the hobby. However, the out of control accusations, mud slinging, and bickering have no place here. I fully support the closing of threads, such as the very one I am posting on, which have become destructive rather than constructive.

How hard is it for someone from PP to come over and make a post (it can be locked if needed) and answer some questions?

I do agree with this. When I spend my money, or send out my more valuable pins in a trade, I need to know that I am getting a non counterfeit pin in return...if all the info is buried, or information that will help lead me to making an informed decision as to wether it is a good trade/or good deal money wise...then how can we do that. Otherwise we are making on sided decisions and are lead around by the preachers of the pin trading community and are blindly led by the faith we have in them/or lack there of. If this information is missing, then I and others will not have the faith to feel like we are educated enough to spend our money or trade our pins in hopes we get "good" things back in return. It seems so suspicious to me that threads and information are *poof* gone.

I don't disagree about that for sure. At some point I'm sure they will answer all the questions that are asked but as of right now, this new website rollout has their full attention and has been top priority to make trading and organizing our pins online smoother. There is a Ton of behind the scenes things that need to be taken care of on a constant basis due to the rollout of the New Pinpics. They are doing the best they can with the situation at hand I assure you <3
