My Achilles heel… (and a look into my Stitch collection)
Thanks to docfish2u I was able to buy my grail, so thank you doc! You've been so nice and such a great help!
This pin has been my #1 ever since I started collecting pins. Of course there's still Elsa Stained Glass and Art of Ariel, but this pin has always been a bit more special to me. However, it has been such a pain to get. And it's still not perfect. You can't see it that clearly on this photo, but there's a discolouration on Alice's skirt. In real life, it's very noticeable. I've received this pin damaged before so I wasn't that amused when I saw a flaw again with this second one. I didn't know about it and it's always a bummer when your grail isn't perfect.
But despite my hate for damaged or faulty pins, I've decided to keep it. Many people said I should return it and not settle with it, but I realised I still really love the pin. I can keep this one. It's stlll a goal to find a perfect one, though. I'm not finished with this bloody grail yet. But for now, this one will do, because it's still a very nice pin. And despite the disappointment when I opened the package, I'm still very happy someone helped me get a grail (someone that doesn't even know me that well). I'm hoping I can do the same for someone else too, once.
It's also a great addition to my "Stitch dressed as…" collection. It completes my "holy quartet" (aka my absolute favourite Stitch in costume pins). It's a big adventure, Stitch in costume! But I love it. The Star Wars pins are partially my bf's. He collects Star Wars and Treasure Planet. At least, that's what I tell him and he just agrees with it.
