The trading boards totally rocked this year at the pin event. I thought I'd post the scans of my finds. Disney totally outdid themselves this year with the pins. Even the few times I was last on the board before it refreshed, I came away with some great stuff. My best friend went with me, and she found an equal number of awesome pins, but she wouldn't let me bring them home to scan. LOL, she had some great Christmas pins too, and was probably worried I might pilfer them :)

Anyhow, these are the ones stamped AP or PP:

And these are non stamped pins and the cool wheel puzzle they released for us to find.

I'm really looking forward to seeing what everyone else found. I saw a lot of people making great finds. I can't wait for next year, going to the circus!!

The boards were really, really good this year. Everyone was getting awesome pins. I've never seen anything like it. It was the first time I ever found so many keepers. It just blew my mind! In the past I found great pins, but mostly the pins I found I traded for pins I wanted. It was so great to find ones that I loved. And the cast members were so awesome! I pretty much stayed on the same 2 boards, so the CMs knew I was looking for Christmas and Star Wars and would help me find them. They also gave us a minute on the boards. I missed last year, but I seem to recall it used to be 30 seconds.

The only bad thing was there were so many people trading scrappers. I saw so many people in lines with baggies of them saying how they bought them on E-bay. I wanted to say something, but I'm kind of shy. We didn't get any off the boards, but I was talking to a nice couple from England that wasted a whole turn in line to pull vinylmation scrappers off the board. I felt so bad for them. You know, I see fakes all over the parks and chalk it up to tourists who don't know any better. But these people at the event were experienced traders, no one should have been trading scrappers. Ok, my rant is over now, sorry about that, but I feel better for saying it.

I hope everyone can post their finds. I had so much fun seeing what the people around me were finding.

I stood in line once yesterday morning and they had not refreshed the boards from the night before and I got 2 scrappers. Lol. Oh well I'm glad someone got good stuff.

I'm so sorry that happened to you, but you should have kept trying. All we did was stand in line, but it was worth it. I made some great trades in line with people around me, so it helped pass the time.

It is too bad you can't do anything about the scrappers. I was wondering if that's why the head cheese didn't show up this year, because he's tired of everyone asking what Disney is going to do about the problem.

I have to agree. I spent both Friday and Saturday in the trading lines. (i did visit the shark pit to say hi to Bellecat for a few minutes) I came away with 24 AP pins that are going straight on the new cork board I bought. This years event Blew me away. I cant believe the volume of great pins on the boards. Like Roxane I was stuck in the end of the Board rut (the refresh happend after I left the board) for about two hours on friday and still pulled of all AP pins. I even had a great time today during Public day. and they were refreshing the boards every 30 min with new pins they would bring out in ziploc bags.

All in all I think a great time was had by all. I know i will be singing, Little Orange Bird in the sunshine tree for a while to come.

LOL, I was singing along too. I hadn't heard it in a lot of years. I love the song, but I think I could go a few more years now without hearing it again. It's still stuck in my head. They had a cute video they played along with it on the screens.

It was amazing. I stood in line at the boards all day both days and did not pull any scrappers. I think I pulled 32 AP pins. There were tons of them. lots of LE's too. Had a blast meeting a lot of DPF members and making new pin friends. Also did a lot of trading in the lines with other event partici pants and got some great pins. It was well worth the price of admission!

You get, I think it's a minute, might be 90 seconds, to look at a large board and make 2 trades. You hand your pins to the CM, without backs. The CM will tell you when you are down to 30 sec, 15 sec, and count down at 10. The strategy is when you find a pin you think you want, put your finger on it, and continue looking. When you get down to the end you say, "these are the 2 I want." The CM will pull them off and give them to you, and put your 2 pins on the board.
