I would imagine the pin situation would be similar to the other off-site resorts like Vero Beach and Hilton Head Island.
Speaking from experience (HHI) they had a small shop with a rack of pins (only a couple resort specific) and a few CM's had lanyards. Not that great for pins, IMO.
On a different note, Aulauni is in a bit of hot water itself. Apparently they sold units without getting the proper permitting. This was such a serious situation that the DVC overall President was fired. So pins are the least of the hotel's worries right now. lol
On another board I read, someone had pictures of the shops and they had a pin rack. So they will most definitely be selling pins. I imagine they might have a bit of trading too. Lanyard and board in the shop, and a board that comes out in the evening. But I would suspect that there wouldn't be a lot of "turnover."
Recent news on the Aulani Resort does not look too promising, so perhaps the pin issue will be on the back burner until further notice. Traders might have to wait longer for their Aulani metallic heroin fix.
