I am so PISSED
I had one in my cart, went to ask if I could get it, talked to my mom for a few minutes, came back and it sold out.
There is already 2 on eBay for $300.
This is getting so ridiculous... I am starting to hope Disney stops making pins completely. I really do.

I'm sorry, but you know this is how it happens EVERY SINGLE TIME.
These box sets sell out almost immediately every time they release them (apart from a few sets that people have shown less interest in).
Every single time there are people complaining that they didn't order in time - it's just part of it. You got up and didn't check out, so you missed out, that's just how it is.
I can completely understand someone being angry about their order going through and then having their order canceled by Disney because their system let too many orders go through.
Now on the ebay thing, again, this is something that happens EVERY SINGLE TIME.
The first few will post them for ridiculous prices. Eventually they will fizzle out, but sometimes they don't.
Personally, I'm wondering if this movie is going to take a dive like Oz did. While I think Jolie could do Maleficent nicely, I'm afraid the movie will be weak like Oz and Alice (two movies that I felt had poor story lines and felt so dumbed down that it was painful to watch). If this is the case, these sets will drop in price quickly. If not, they may stay up there. And if that happens you will have to do what everyone else who missed out on the sale will have to do - either buy or trade. Sometimes people sell them on here for cheaper. Sometimes someone posts one on ebay for a reasonable price and you can grab it.
This is all just part of it. This is what happens with every collectable item out there.
Yeah, I kinda fear the movie will flop, and this set won't trade as well as I hope it will.
But regardless, I have never, ever gotten a pin at release before, and it was really fun and exciting! I can't believe they used to do this all the time. I feel like I finally get some of the release rush!
To me even if the movie flops, these are stand alone pins. They are beautiful and have nothing to do with the actors themselves (like the Alice and Oz pins). The style and the fact that they are impressions and contain the maleficent silhouette makes them awesome! They kind of remind me of the designer maleficent, I also like the detailed frame and how they have the dragon, raven, and anime style Aurora

I am a Maleficent collector but I too, only collect the ones I like... which is most lol but I am not a fan of Angelina and truly am not looking forward to this movie. These pins are ok, but with the profile they used, I just see Angelina. I doubt I'll even have the hubby go to the DSSH release for the pin release. I'm sticking with the classic Maleficent

No, I agree with you I think they are ugly. They could have done so much better. That's just my opinion. I was glad to see someone felt the same way.
Since I am in Wisconsin, they could put up a rock with a pin post (an ugly rock at that) and say it was an online-exclusive limited edition and I'd buy it. That's how desperate the situation is, folks. Please... *cough*... send... *wheeze*... pins... *gurgle*...
Lol... I actually like these pins, I think they could have done so much worse like plastering Angelina Jolie on them.

I happened to be waiting up online last night looking for something else when I saw it. I couldn't pass up the chance to buy such a nice boxed set at cost. I really like the art, it's something different in my opinion.
