(Putting this in pin discussion since there's pins in, even though there's other stuff too...)

Have you guys seen this?

New steampunky Vinylmations, pins, and ear hat ornaments! (I wish they were making actual ear hats of those!) It looks like the Vinylmations are already out (I think... I don't do Vinyls) and the pins come in November. The ear hat ornaments won't be out until Spring, alas!

Let me try to paste images in case you can't follow the link...

WOW I WANT THESE! I'm gonna be checking Pinpics for them every day now...

Does anyone know if they ever make pins that correspond with ornaments? 'Cause I would *SO* buy pins of these too, if they existed!

"There are two steampunk-inspired open edition pins arriving at Disneyland Resort and Walt Disney World Resort in November."

Stay tuned guys!

I am mostly filled with contempt for Steampunk, exactly because I like actual Victorian Science Fiction. However the green jewel pin is not too bad. It has enough of a 20,000 Leagues/Mysterious Island vibe to look not-ugly.

Those pins are super pretty, I especially like the lock and key. I'd love it if they did a few other mechanical characters, too, like [pinpics]71358[/pinpics]. The Disney Store had that one plus a Stitch and a Mickey head but I think a Goofy could look pretty neat.

Steampunk does seem to be becoming the next big thing, my partner adores the whole look. Lol, I'm mostly okay with it as long as she doesn't collect anything with cephalopods. I still don't get why giant underwater creatures are a part of this genre. 20K Leagues aside, I don't think there's any other reason for it.
