I know people are very excited about these right now, but when I saw the picture last night my first thought was that series was like those sets. Or the P52s. So even though they are "limited release" those sets were around for quite awhile. So there wouldn't be a need to pay exhorbinant prices, just keep checking in for restocking. However the LE200 chasers are throwing me a little big. Unless, that's what the edition size of these chasers usually is but now they're just finally telling us.

Now for the purchasing. If someone is buying a ton of boxes looking for UP and Brave, needs to recoup some costs from duplicates, and ends up with a Heimlich from A Bug's Life and M-O from Wall-E, I would be interested in purchasing them at cost. I'm not interested if they're more than cost.

I LOVE this series!!! All the pins look so cute! I think my favorite is Brave, then Ratatouille, then a bugs life. I like the monsters Inc set... but I think Boo looks kinda creepy!
 


I believe the chasers from the Disney Afternoon Set, were also LE200.

The price sticker says "disney parks" not disneyland resport. so i think it is safe to say it will be shared.

It happens, it might have happened. there are plenty of dpf folks here who are willing to find em and sell em at decent prices... Granted the pricing so far has not included "UP" Which looks like it WILL be the most sought after and the LE200 from this series should be highly tradeable/sellable and desired.


A tidbit of info folks!!!

These boxes appear to be organized. Generally, if you get one pin in a box that is cars, the other is cars, and the same with other movies. AT FIRST people thought every box had a chaser, but that is NOT true. I saw a couple boxes opened last night with 2 LR and no LE in there. The best guess math wise is that there are about 8000 boxes with limited editions and another 2000 with just limited release. totaling 10k boxes... IF the math is right.
 
I really want the Brave set but I'm not bothered about the chasers, I don't really like Merida's bow in gold - it looks kinda funny :S

Any help would be gratefully appreciated! Thanks!

oh thank you psycho pixie! I couldn't get to all of these questions I'm on my way to the park and had a busy morning since Matt didn't get off work till 8am :facepalm: but once I have pins in hand and I'll know which I have to trade or sell hopefully lots of up and brave so I can get out as many to you guys as possible

Just curious about the difference between the LE 200 and LR pins. The only difference i see in the Brave set is that the bow and arrow are different colors. Can anyone confirm if the connecting part of the pin is the only difference between the Le200's and the LR pins. Thanks!

I posted a pic earlier in the thread of the ratatouille one so you can see The difference there's not much like you said its just the center image that connects them is gold and guys they are sold out I was only able to purchase 9 boxes but I'm trying to find out if they will be receiving more if/and when
 
Should I add the 80 pins to pinpics? If you have these pins, and wouldn't mind taking a picture that I can use for the database, that would be awesome lol
Also, what is all the information regarding these boxes? Were they released yesterday? $16.95?

I'm willing to stake a lot on the fact that once all these pins get dispersed, the limited release versions won't take that much to get considering the current market value of past LR pins (barring the r/c of course! :rofl: but Brave didn't prove to be as popular as most people bet on), but thank you for the heads-up!

Yeah, I haven't seen too many Brave ones yet, so just thought I would let everyone know
 
For the person inputting for pinpics:

there are a total of 80 pins in the set. 40 limited release, 40 limited edition 200.

limited release is:
silver metal back, silver accent with more paint.
backstamp has the usual official pin trading logo date 2013, a box that says limited release , and the C disney china box below that. 2 posts, one at top on and obttom, centered. no nubs!

limited edition is:
gold metal back gold accent on front and more gold in the artwork.
backstamp and posts are the same except that it has limited edition 200 instead of limited release.

2 pins per box. $16.95 per box.
sku# 4 0000731349 1

These pins do NOT have the new style of black numbering on them like many of the other new pins.

The boxes are NOT guaranteed to have a chaser in them. But the boxes do seem to have organization, mostly same movie per box.
