Just got back from Post Office to mail some LBE's. New rates are in effect and what used to cost about $2.07 is now $2.32 (up $0.25 or about 11.2%). Also mailed ONE pin to UK and ONE to Canada, $6.55. I know its about the same to mail INTO the US for our International friends, but WOW!!

Can't wait for the Trades/Wants feature to come back so that we can easily do multi-pin trades when available!!

Thats crazy!!! posting in the UK keeps going up and up too! Whats weird is, i sent a package with 1 pin in and it cost £3.40 to america and then i posted a packed twice the size with multiple pins etc in and it cost £4 :S haha

I sometimes get away with sending individual pins a letter post, as the definition of letter post is "anything that contains personal correspondance". So long as it doesn't weigh over 100g I'm fine and it saves money. Other than that, it is £3.50 which is I think just under $6?

Its not cheap, for sure. Plus, it certainly doesn't help our hobby does it. I agree with Mike, we need that compare function back. If DPP could do that, then it truly would have a service to rival Pinpics.

and once my sister went for me, I dont know what they told her she needed but she came away with it costing £8 and the lady told her that it was the only way to post to the US when she questioned it.

Am I incorrect in interpreting a recent receipt where I added tracking? I shipped something domestically that was about the weight of a pin in a LBE, and it cost me $2.50 for first class mail, and another $1.05 for tracking. (Total = $3.55) -- did the cost of tracking go up, too? I seem to remember as recently as last week only paying 90 cents to add tracking to a first class packet. :dunno:

That sucks! I always try to use Paypal Shipping to get mine, not a ton cheaper, but enough to make a difference to me...AND I only have to go to the post office to drop off the package, which is AWESOME in my opinion!!!
