I am going to Disney World soon and had a question.... Do pins have to have the rubber Mickey back to be tradeable..... or can it just be any old pin back??

Here at DLR if you have a different pin back (or if they have a different pin back) they kindly ask you (or let you know) to keep your own back So it should be fine!

Ok thanks.... It's just that I've heard horror stories of losing good pins because of the rubber backs...

Older pins had metal backs and I think some of the parks have rules about what is tradeable but you can look up their guidance online. If you want to wear your pins on a clothing / lanyard but are worried about loosing them you can use 'hat' backs, pins do not fall off with these! I have worn a pin on my coat with one for months and it hasnt budged. This thread here has information on pin backs you can buy if you dont want to risk loosing pins.

but if your trading those pins then you want to take rubber backs that you can swith out when trading with cast members / guests and just keep your own back. If you are taking traders to a park and dont want to loose them you could get a trading bag to keep them safe?
