Thanks for the tips, I'll try them outWelcome @journeyJ ! When I first joined the forum, I took some time to read past posts, which was very informative! I would also advise starting an account on PinPics, PinTradingDB, and/or Pin & Pop. They each have their own strengths, and do things that the others don't.
Thanks, I will!Hi. Welcome! Beware of large lots of pins available on the auction site and Amazon. They tend to be scrappers.
Which are counterfeit pins.
Thanks for this, I'm new to the whole stuff so I plan on taking it slow... Baby steps for now.Welcome! You already have good advice from others. Presuming you are new to collecting and not just the forum, I suggest deciding on some themes for what you want to collect. There are many, many, MANY pins out there are it can be overwhelming if you try to collect everything. Having themes will help focus things for you. For example, I generally collect Alice in Wonderland, Nightmare Before Christmas, Moana, Villains, and Attractions. Sounds like a lot, and it kind of is, but still much less than all of what is out there. And I only collect direct from Disney (no Loungefly, etc) and only from the US to help narrow it down a bit. That said, I'll also collect other pins that I just like. It's more of a guideline than a rule.
You've already gotten some really great advice, so I'm just going to add a 'hi and welcome!' Don't be afraid to ask any questions you might have. Remember that even the most experienced pin trader was new at one point and asking is the best way to learn. Thanks for this, I'm new to the whole stuff so I plan on taking it slow...
