A bit disappointing. We went and rode the ride, said our good-bye's (it my wife's favorite) but nothing special. No pin or button for the last day.

I am not really all that surprised, but I still really wish Disney would have released a farewell SWSA pin. I think that would have been really nice. I am going to miss that ride. It was always one of my favorite rides at Disney. I always hate when they get rid of some of my favorite old rides. I have a lot of memories on that ride with some close family members who have now passed on. Thank goodness for my family pictures and videos that I took along with youtube to help me look back and remember. But I am excited to see how the mine train turns out. They could maybe come out with some type of remembrance pin later on down the road, but it still would have been nice to have one now. I wonder if they will have a pin for the opener of the mine train.

I am glad you and your wife got to enjoy the ride one last time as well as say your goodbyes figment919.

They still might with a Piece of History pin. Look at what they did with the closure of Star Tours. They did pins at both parks, plus cast member pins

I am also sad that The Snow white's Scary Adventures has closed down at WDW. I think it just had too much a bad reputation for being too scary for small children, but what the average person does not realize is that Walt Disney had planned the original 3 dark rides of Disneyland's Fantasyland with a very specific purpose: one was a fun ride (Mr. Toad), one was a pretty ride (Peter Pan), and one was a scary ride (Snow White). So now WDW has retained only one of these three...

I guess the closest thing that could be considered a commemorative pin for Snow White's Scary Adventures could be: Pin 89695: WDW - Attraction Posters - Snow White's Scary Adventures. It's not the same as a last day pin or anything, and it was released in April, but I like it a lot. I was totally looking for this pin when I was at WDW in May, but it had already sold out by then -- I had to turn to the auction site for it.

Yeah you are right. I love pin 89695. Like you said it is not really a goodbye pin but it is the closest thing I have to it. Great point about the three different types of rides. With the abilities that Disney has though, I think one day we will be saying good bye to the Peter Pan ride too, in order to make way for a new and improved Peter Pan experience. I guess change can be good, but it can also be very sad.
