Auction Ended: Novice bidders Auction
Oh sorry! I still don't think I have a firm grasp on pin value.

Would it be better for me to add to this bid instead?

1)

Bid two

pin90684
Pin 90684: DSF - Jessica Rabbit Postcard and Pin Set

Hoping all my links work!

Adding to Jessica instead is perfectly fine, and the value is much more fair. ((If you come across a pin that you REALLY are dieing to have, overbidding does have the added benefit of killing the competition. But you always need to ask yourself if the pin is worth it to you personally)) The jessica and Mr toad together still put you in the #1 spot for the auction. I will post a new leaderboard in a bit.

Sorry, double posting…
Here is my add to the Jessica bid… I don't want to mess up the auction with the poster bid!

pin54215
Pin 54215: DLR - Where Magic is Timeless 2007 - Mr. Toad (GWP)

Please forgive this newbie!

SHELLYMO: while i really like the rosetta, it will not put you in the top 4. The trade/want values are a bit to upside down to beat out the top bids.

sorry the leaderboard is not as facy as before with all the quoted bids at the bottom... late night last night and my coffee has not kicked in. lol

leaderboard:

Checking to see if this works. Will try this bid. I have never bid on an auction, except a hidden mickey with a number.

Thanks, I realized it after posting but didn't know how to take it back. I don't see any other pins I have that you want. Good luck with your auction!

Thats fine! thank you for bidding Shelly!

DPF auction house is set up so that the original post and any replies cannot be edited. This is to prevent people from changing the pin being auctioned, or removing/changing a bid. It protects both the auctioneer and the bidder.

On another note:

When something happens and you want to remove a bid, or change it, the best way to handle it is to quote yourself in a reply and state the changes you are making. That way there is no question about what is happening.

Auctioneers, and the competing bidders like to know exactly what they are up against when you add or change a bid. so if you add to a bid, like Tier did a couple posts ago; Reply with quote on your previous full bid, and state the new bid.

When a higher end auction really gets moving, it is hard for everyone to keep track, and posting just the added pin(s) makes it hard for the auctioneer to know what exactly you are bidding. The best way is to always state your entire bid in every post.

OK... So what I need to do now is decide if I want to add to my bid or not? Taking into consideration how much the item on auction is worth to me, compared to the worth of the pins I'm offering? I'm working it all through in my head  It's scary in there

yup, thats exactly it. Don't fall into the trap of "must outbid everyone no matter what." I have been known to bid just to say I won. lol decide if the pin is worth an additional bid.

Congratulations Tier! you are the winner of this auction!

In the morning when I am thawed out ((freezing tonight, and just got home)) I will send you a PM with me address, and you can send me your address. The auctioned pin will ship within 24-48 hours of reciept of address. WITH a tracking or DC#.

Thank you to everyone who participated. I will do this again in a couple weeks with something different. :) If you have any questions about this stuff never be afraid to ask!
