It seems nowadays that everyone is looking for LE pins from DSSH/DSF, Events and so forth. Accordingly the Trader often wants a matching or similar LE level pin as the offer. My issue is that I am looking for MANY OE pins and I am willing to do multi-pin trades to get them - but it seems the market has dried up for this type of trade. Any comments.

I have no such evidence. I am constantly trading for oe pins all the time. Especially overseas. It can get complicated trying to figure out multiple oe pins for le pins. But it is doable.

I'm totally with you. I get that trading 1:1 on OE can end up being not financially wise or realistic, however multi trades still work.

I have plenty of OE wants & traders, but finding matches (especially in multiples) to arrange a trade can be difficult at best.

I'm all for trading for OE! But I'm an atypical collector in that I honestly don't give a hoot about LE, OE, this place or that, market value or whatever. I just want pins I like that fit into my collection. As far as I'm concerned, a pin has no value except to somebody who actually wants it. Therefore I would happily trade an OE pin I don't want for an OE pin I do.

My main problem with OE pins is that they almost never release OE pins that fit into my collections nowadays. They seem to like putting out mostly princesses, princess villains, early Pixar, and Mickey and Friends.

I have no problem trading if I do come across OE pins that I don't have yet.

I love the OE pins that fit my collections. The current ones are easy to get but some of the older ones seem more difficult to get, especially if they are from Europe and Asia.

I'm looking forward to the new OE Robin Hood pin so that I can add to my Robin Hood collection. When I get that one I will have TWO RH pins! LOL

I am the same way. There are tons of OE pins that are as cute or cuter than the LE pins.

That's all I can trade for or with as that's all I have as a rather new pin collector/trader with my first ever trip to DLR happening this past June and having no real idea how the system works with pin traders.

TBH I think all the LE, exclusive here or there or whatever hinders the fun in trying to trade pins as people get territorial and also hoard certain pins BECAUSE of the LE or they think it's a hot ticket pin and want to hold onto it for the "right" deal. If I think the pin is cool/cute/fits in my collection I'll buy it or trade for it regardless if it's a LE or not. *shrug*

I still trade for OE pins. There are some really nice oe pins. I enjoy the hunt for them. I just prefer to multi trade due to the cost. But I have done some single trades for them.

I'm happy to trade OE pins whenever , although like most others I try and do 3+ per trade to make the postage worthwhile . Although in the past I've done single pins for something I really wanted but was often out of stock .

I'm always looking for OE pins. Especially current ones, on their original cards.

The only problem I have is people usually trading them always want to do one on one for a LE of mine or a very rare old OE. I have lots of recently retired OEs, on their original cards, that I would be willing to trade for current OEs that fit my collections.

I love OE pins!! It's nice to see there are so many others that feel the same way.

A couple of years ago, I used to great with OE mystery boxes, but lately my extra mystery box pins are stacking up, and when I look at the people trading it's like 5 people are trading the ones I need. And it's taking a lot longer for those pins to even be added to Pinpics. So it hasn't led to many trading opportunities. Usually, the same couple of people who either already rejected the trade or don't reply at all.

I've also seen a couple of post on Facebook that people are running into trouble trading LE's because everyone just wants bootleg pins (they call them fantasy, but I'm not going to call them that.)

I'd love to be able to trade the mystery box pins . If I find a set I like I always bought enough boxes to get a full set plus a few traders (never actually got a complete set though) but it's proving impossible to get the missing one or two from some sets because anyone who has it either won't post a single pin internationally (I can't really blame them , if it wasn't the completer pin I probably wouldn't want to either) or wants a LE in exchange .
It's sad but in the future I'm just going to have to resort to eBay for a full set if I really like one .

I'm always trying to complete mystery box or bag sets. It's near impossible to get the last couple I need for each set I'm collecting.

I am totally open to trading OE pins but like others have said, it is often hard to justify trading 1 for 1 only across internationally or even domestically. It'll cost you the same amount to buy the pin outright to ship it in a lot of cases. You end up having to wait for the stars to align and you can trade multiple things with one person.

When I get a request (OE or LE), I always cross check the trade to see if additional pins can be added on either side to make a more balanced trade or shipping effort. I still have quite a few OEs in my collection and still add them when they fit a theme or have an image that has not been duplicated across multiple pins (yes Aurora, I'm talking to you and that period of several years ago when you showed up in the same pose in Paris, Japan, Disneyland, and Disney World). One thing about the OEs is that they tend to be a bit smaller which makes it easier to create framed art scenes. The jumbos (such as DA or Disney Shopping) are beautiful but can be a pain to work with when creating a scene.

I don't mind single OE or mystery box pin trades. $2.55 postage is a lot cheaper than a trip to WDW. My PinPics ID is the same a my ID on here, I'm interested in trading if you can match 'em up.

Hey David,

My friend you need to remember you can always have pins sent to me if they won't trade overseas. We know we can always make trades so it isn't a big deal to send extra pins to you.

Thank you for the very kind offer , what I've been doing lately is looking for someone who has a full set and seeing if they'd be interested in working something out . Luckily Zazu helped me find the three recent release HM sets and was really easy to trade with , and Speezard was also happy to take delivery for me .
I don't really mind the earlier HM pins I'm missing , it gives me something to look for when I get to a Disney Park (I managed to complete all the 2014/15 sets I really wanted at WDW this year .

I love a lot of the retired OEs! They are hard to put a value on though, as they don't seem as in demand as LEs, yet at the same time they can be harder to find too, and even then you can randomly find them for cheap at times as well. I'm never quite sure what to offer/accept to be honest. But I certainly wouldn't mind offering an LE for a few of equal value OEs if I knew what that value was.

There's also the issue that timeerkat brought up - most of the older LEs don't fit my collections, lol!
