Official "Return the tables" Information
And how often is that kiosk used?

The way I understand the new Guest Services Guidelines, that kiosk is for fastpass distribution for all tomorrowland rides for those guests that need special accomadation. I can imagine it gets quite busy there on a busy day. That area is probably the most sound place to have it while not further blocking up the already crowded walkways of Tomorrowland.

Here's a little input from outside the DLR crowd:

When I was working out in CA a few years ago, I spent many days and weekends at DLR. While I spent many hours on the rides, I also spent a lot of time trading.
The tables at Westward Ho and LGM were ok, but the Sundays at the Plaza were the best. The tables just didn't feel welcoming and it was more like you were being pressured into a deal you didn't like. The time at the Plaza was relaxed. People sat, chatted, told stories. It was laid back and friendly. If the community is somehow able to bring this friendly atmosphere back, I think it would be quite successful.

If you want to catch Disney's attention, STOP buying. And let them know you won't buy as long as the tables are gone. I've been collecting for 11 years, almost 12. I'm tired of the games we've been put through over the last few years. Tables pulled. Oh, just for refurbishment. They never came back at DTD. They come and go at Epcot. I get down 2-3-4 times per year. I'm tired of worrying whether tables will be there the week I am there or not. I've had close calls several times and missed them once.

They way I see it, Disney is messing with my hobby. I'm tired of it. Let them mess with it. I collected PEZ long before Disney pins came along. Guess who's going back to collecting PEZ. PEZ aren't $20 each. Nobody gets into fights about purchasing PEZ. PEZ don't suffer from quality control issues or scrapper issues. And you can eat the candy!!!

Soooo is now a bad time to tell everyone I have been creating fake adresses and complaining about the pin table eyesore and rude pin traders for awhile and when they took them away I started writing and emailing them as an "irate pin trader"? My favorite email had me complaining that it was my main source of business they took away

Fortune: we know you are/were an alt I.D. please cease and desist causing disturbance within the community. If you want to contribute, go for it! Otherwise please, this is a serious concern for this community and we as a whole do not appreciate comments along the lines of yours. Take it to confessions on FB. whewre people do not care anyway. The loss of trade tables is a real legitimate concern to many in this group.

on to REAL replies....

carlos: thank you for the letter! every single one counts!

WDW juan: we miss the tables at carnation plaza too. I have the an excellent trade or two at that location and it was populated by people i still consider friends in the community.

Charlesu: unfortunately, this is an unrealistic ideal... To many people not in the inline community would continue to buy. I would like to entertain the idea, but others, who do not care about our trade community, (such as profiteers) would go buy everything anyway. The only way this would work is if the community as a whole ALSO stopped buying from eBay. Sadly, I don't feel that is a realistic option.

There should be a like button on comments....

PEZ!!!!!!!

anyway! folks if your sending the letter direct to disney thats great!! If your sending it to me i need to know to expect it. but please let me know via PM either way for the letters. i want to kind of track how many we send.

Reminder!

PLEASE write letters!

I am working on getting a way to sit down and SEE someone via Appointment to discuss the loss of trade area. And now... with the Tomorrowland remodel coming... i am hoping we as a community can convince them to do a "pin trade port" or some kind that is permanent.

PLEASE!!!! dont just sign the petition!

Heartfelt letters will go a step further!

At this point I would say by the first week of January. I am still working out how to see someone to actually discuss this, and i am figuring I wont get an appointment set before then.

I complain everytime I go to DISNEYLAND!!!!No one will talk to me about the tables they just say no more tables period...

I have dropped off 3 letters face to face at customer service on main st. I have sent email letters via the guest services. My most recent letter actually got a phone call back. which was nice. but there has been no follow up since then.

Everyone please send letters!!!!

I do hate to be THAT guy but everyone here does realize with how long its been since the tables were taken and the petition taking soooo long to reach 100 even add on the fact that there have been very very few letters that means a major company like Disney is very unlikely to listen =/ they listen when its like massive instant response. Its been some time now and its especially bad cuz some folks (wont name names) have been acting up over at the restaurant. Other day a CM said they had to put the book away because "one of the pin traders was getting besides himself coming in every few minutes and being rude".

I will have to admit that I was going to write a letter but every update I heard was not good. I know there has been a lot of correspondence, face to face meetings and probably other things I am not aware of. In all the cases I know of, Disney is not budging and seems not to really care about our situation. I don't mean to be a negative Nelly but will our letters really matter? I have not heard any update that says Disney will discuss our matter or even think about. It is always a flat out NO. I did sign the petition but don't know the results of that. Are there any positive updates showing that Disney will at least think about finding a place for us?
