After my children and I dove into pin collecting during our WDW trip in January, we have finally completed our first pin display. This is my daughter's display... the pins were chosen by her representing some of her favorite characters and the places we stayed/visited on our last trip.

Turned out pretty well, but may do some tweaking on the next one. I used foam core for the backing, but the thickness of the batting and the foam core together prevent the pins from being locked in with a pin back. I knew this would be the case when we were building, but I thought the pins would really hold once inserted into the foam core. Perhaps a thinner batting will allow more of the pin to puncture more of the foam core. It will hold if turned upside down, but a few shakes will likely wiggle them right out.

None the less, it was a lot of fun working with the kids to put this together. We have many more pins to show off, so hopefully I will have more displays to share soon.

Looks good! For your next display, try using a stretched canvas. You can easily cover it with fabric, and it is easy to secure your pins into the canvas. It works great for me, especially since I like to wear some of the pins that I have framed.

Thank you all for the kind remarks!

@YoSoyAhPuch I had considered stretched canvas, but my daughter adored this frame too much. Our next project will be my son's pin board, so we will give it a shot! Thank you!
