Paying for a pin via Paypal!

Hi everyone!
I need a little help. I would like to purchase a pin from a seller who has requested to be paid via paypal - friends and family. I would prefer to pay for the pin as goods for the added security. Does anyone know how I can figure out what the cost for me would be added to the price of the pin? (I guess the paypal fee!)

Any help would be most appreciated!!!

I believe it's a 4% fee... so multiply what the total cost is by 1.04 and you'll have your total to cover the fees paid as goods.

If you search 'paypal fee calculator' there are several websites that will calculate your fees on a given sale or the amount extra to add to get the total profit to a given value.

Here is an example of one of them. Use the bottom right box, and it should be able to tell you how much $ to send. I hope this helps.

The calculator is awesome...but its usually 2.9% plus $0.30 per transaction

I think paying as goods is well worth it personally as a buyer and seller. friends and family is a tricky way to loose out on a bad transaction
