Looks like you were closest on this one. Though the number is also the number of boxes, it is just one pin per box....I thought the original listing said 2 pins per box, or was I imagining it...

This Mystery Puzzle collection is released quarterly. This mystery twelve pin collection commemorates Disney’s classic Pixar characters. Each box contains one randomly selected pin. Ten pins have a limited edition of 900 and the two chasers have limited edition of 600. The pins link together to create one big pin.

It could be 10 LE 1000 pins with 2 LE 100 chasers. The number doesn't necessarily mean the number of boxes.

I do wish they had made the trumpeteer more visually appealing, but I still want it as my CP class was the last PAC group to work it before it retired, le sigh...

Because these are not something I usually collect, the edition sizes and such do not bother me! I am rather excited however that they are going to be doing one for the Roger Rabbit ride that has Jessica on it and a piece of Jessica's glove!!! :hsd: I will have to get my hands on one of those for sure! It looks like it might be a good year for Jessica right from the start! :x:
