I received this pin recently and I'm unsure of its authenticity. Does anyone have this in their collection that can check the back for me? Mine has the Mickey head print but it does not run off the sides. There is a thick border. The pin itself is also a bit on the thinner side compared to my other pins though I've read in a few other topics that that may not be unusual. There is a "Pin Trading" logo and it reads "©Disney China." Another thing I'm concerned about is that there isn't as much detail in the face, mainly his ear is almost missing, compared to the photo on pinpics. Any help at all would be great. :)

I have to agree with TheHapaOne, the back certainly looks fake but the detail on the front also sends up a red flag. Those lines are way too thick, Herc's looking more like a gingerbread man than himself. You can't even tell there are supposed to be Mickey heads on the back. I'd definitely call scrapper on it.

Scrapper :( I just got a scrapper version of the Hades that matches this
Oh no! What an odd coincidence that is... :( I hope you work it out!

Luckily the seller immediately refunded me. He said he'll look for another while he's at the parks this week.

Thanks for the input, guys. This is my first scrapper.

Glad you got a refund, but it's still a bummer. :(

I initially bought this pin on eBay, then just last week I bought two of these mystery boxes on a whim and BOTH contained Hercules! lol

Here is a photo of the eBay pin (left) and the one from my mystery box (right):

Aside from the glare, both pins appear to match, so I guess I got lucky on the bay.

Thanks for the photo disneycrazee! The majority of my pins are purchased off ebay, since I'm located no where near any parks, so I guess I've just been really lucky! But I also don't have much interest in the harder to find pins. I'd imagine there isn't much profit in faking open edition pins! This particular pin was actually purchased from a member of this board, but like I said I was promptly refunded and it seemed to be an honest mistake. :)
