Pin 76622: Unauthorized - Lion King 15th Anniversary 10 Pin Set?
I always wondered about this set. I didn't think they actually made them! While they are not "official", but they look pretty good, I could see why you'd want them in your collection!

Sure! I'll probly take some pics tomorrow when I take a better pic of my collection, since this set is all wrapped up in a box with my other non collection pins. XD Did you want me to post them here or shoot you a pm with them?

:) Please post them! As a Scar and Mufasa collector, I too would love to see a close up of these pins.

Yes, please post them on the forum so others can see them as well. Thank you so very much for taking the time to do this for us all!! :)

Here y'all go. They're about 2 inches wide with two posts on the back. Very intricate fakes. >> I still love the set though, even if they're not official. Though I am kinda bummed that I won't be able to trade/sell them in the future when I don't want them anymore.
You'll have to excuse the glare on some of them since I couldn't use my camera's macro without using the flash as well. XD

Thanks for posting those pictures!! They do look like a nice set. So you got the one Scar pin, but it was damaged so you bought a set of them. Do those pins have any flaws like the first Scar one you got?

I can't help but wonder if these are not truly fakes at all. As someone said on pinpics I believe, it was because Disney couldn't get a company to frame them cheap enough. So they already had the pins made but then it stopped at the framing part, are they truly fakes? I don't think so. They were made by Disney, just never sold. Just my two cents.

And, you are allowed to sell/trade these kinds of pins on this forum, you just have to state what they are (Not released by Disney). I wouldn't worry about that because anyone who would want them would know that anyway. :)

Well, the single Scar pin that I bought, the seller said it was damaged like that when they got it from trading at the parks. But because it's not official, I know that's not true so I'm not really sure how it got damaged.
But as for the whole set, none of them have glaringly obvious damage that I can tell. Rafiki has a small bubble/something on the left side in the top layer (it shows as a shiny dot in the picture). And I wanna say the Cub Kovu & Kiara has a mark/scratch on the bottom left in the black section, but that might just be from being handled/mixed with other pins. They're packed away again and I don't feel like taking them out and checking. XD
I can't imagine someone going to this much trouble to make fakes when it would be so much easier to just copy another pin out there. And I would think that if they were fakes, why aren't there a whole lot more of them on the market since I can't see it being profitable to just have one or two sets floating about. The cost to make these are likely high. But then, I wouldn't know anything about how much it costs so I shouldn't speculate. XD
Though then you could argue that they are fakes 'cause the quality isn't very good when you look close. I mean, the character's don't have eyes. XD I wanted to email Disney about it to ask, but I wouldn't even know where/who to send one to. So I'll have to make do with what everyone's already said.

And that's good to know. Maybe when I'm ready to get rid of them, I'll find someone here who wants them. XD

Wow, they're so lovely! And the nicest one is definatly the Scar one. I wish I could add it to mt Wants list.

We got some at the Disney outlet store in Orlando about 5 years ago, and off the trading board at the Trade city Pin event 2010 .
They mark very easy ,was told that why they never released them for sale, but who knows.

Wow, this is a four year old thread resurrected. It does look like a cute set. I would think that it's considered unauthorized because it wasn't authorized for sale? Disney made it and didn't want to release it
