Yeah, the Stitch Tower of Terror bag isn't leather; it's plasticy foam (pleather? naugahyde?). Still, it's really pricey (over $100 usually). But very cool...
 
Convenience mostly. Waking around the park with one of the two you just mentioned would be a pain. The bag would be doable if you had a binder or something to sort the pins.
 
Keeping traders on cork boards seems to weaken the posts (makes them wobbly). I wouldn't recommend it.
 
makes sense that pushing pins through cork would weaken them...at the moment using cork board for my keepers and storing traders in small bags....but it is hard to find trader I'm looking for that way! thinking about binders or making my own bag
 
If you live near a character warehouse stop by. usually have a small bag for $10 or so.
