I have a few pins recently that when the light is shined upon them I can see scratches and even paint marks. Now I know that if I put them up on my pin board I won't be able to notice unless I stand there staring at them with the light shining upon them and can say I have them as part of my collection, but I don't know it kinda bugs me I am a bit of a perfectionist and that is a really annoying trait to have.

What do you do in this situation? Do you keep them or not?

If they're easy pins to replace, feel free to trade them to someone who won't mind a slight scrape. If they're hard to find, I'd keep them, scratches and all. Even the best kept holy grails can gather a scratch or some wear after a little while. If it really bothers you, there might be a way to buff imperfections out, but don't take my word for it, I've never tried on a pin.
