I know I have posted about this in the past but recently one of my UP pins post broke off and the 2nd post on the pin is wobbly so I do not want to chance putting them in a frame (any of the pins I have) just in case they break and I have the hard time to either replace the pin or fix it.

So a few questions.

How much are they?
Can I get extra pages to add?
Are the pages easy to put pins through so they wont damage any wobbly posts??

Would anyone offer to help me get a few if I decide to go ahead as I would need at least 5 lol

thanks for anyone who may reply.

where you able to fix the pin, if it for you and trading it isnt a huge concern, i would think a jeweler could sodder it? I know nothing about the pin bags, i made my own "books" out of 2inch binders and think foam pages.

I asked a jeweller today he said he wouldnt know if the enamel on the front of the pin would stay the same or come away as he would have to solder the post back on. If it wasnt a HTF pin Id have took my chances but when its a LE125 I really do not want to take the risk of having any effects on the front of the pin.

I've had more pins damaged in bags and binders than I have anywhere else I'd still put it in a frame, but use another pin to make the hole. You can slightly press the pin you want framed to leave a little indentation to see where to make the actual holes. The problem with bags and binders is each time you open it, the pins shift around a bit and rub on the opposite pages. I dislike bags for pins that are anything more than flat. With binders, my pages end up deformed. The deformation is different depending on if the binder was stored standing up of lying down, but still end up deformed.

when you say deformed how do you mean?? like they warp or something else??

the binders would be stood up and I only have about 300ish pins and my themes are not that extensive so I may take my chance with one folder and see how it goes, then I could decide.

If they are standing up, the weight of the pins starts pulling the pages down. It causes kinks to form, in the horizontal gaps between the pin rows and then the pages start to look wavy. Lighter pins (flat) don't warp the page as badly, but pin-on-pins and large pins the waves are deeper. How long it takes for the pages to warp, I'm not sure, my worst ones are 12 years old now.

If you are sure you are keeping the pin and do not care about trading it, use JB weld. The new post will stay on for life. If you are interested, I can post a picture later and show you how it looks

To be frank, it seems it's easier on pins to use a soft base for pinning to than the official pin trading binders from Disney. I received one of the official ones as a gift and the pages are really super stiff. I've poked holes in my fingers trying to put the pins in those pages and I have to be very careful when removing the pins because it takes some effort to get them out. It's a lot easier to use aida fabric for delicate pins, in my opinion, and that's easily found in any craft store like JoAnn's or Michael's.

hmmmm time to think this through lol I didnt think there would be any problems with binders lol I had a frame but it fell off the wall but it looked nice lol I do have a frame for my UP pins as they are already in it (lying on the floor under chair) just need more UP pins to fill it with. Id like a binder to try it out it, if it fails then can use it for traders lol

can anyone at least tell me the price??
