So as some of you know, yesterday something came over me and I ordered online my VERY FIRST PIN BAG ! *cheers*
I was chatting on chat with Jack (your username escapes me, sorry) and he suggested putting that plastic cardboard stuff between the pages. This is a great idea ! But it got me thinking that maybe there are some other tips and tricks I should know to get me started...

What have you done specially to your bag(s)?
What do you find annoying/good about your bag?

Any suggestions and comments are super helpful !

Thanks for your time !
Olivia :hsd:

plastic cardboard between the pages? Great idea! I saw someone on a youtube vid who did that. That way you dont have to use Mickey backers and can easily remove pins
PS< where can you get that stuff?

I agree that the plastic is a great idea...if you don't use that idea though, I find it particularly annoying to try to put pins in the bag if I have to put my hand PAST the one's already on the page. So I try to configure how I want my page to look first and load it from the bottom up.

This is the perfect time of year to get the plastic corrogation for your pages. After the election you can cut up discarded election signs.
Otherwise you can purchase sheets of it at sign companies.

I used 12x12 sheets of cork that I cut to fit my pages. My bags zip so I just zip it closed. My son's bag is a Disney OPT bag and it is open at the bottom with just velcro to close it so to keep the cork from shedding, I just tape off the end with duct tape.

The cork is available at Walmart, Staples, Michaels, Office Max.

The cork works great and allows me the freedom to infinitely scoot around my collection as I add pins or to shift around my traders as they come and go.

Thanks guys for the great responses. I think i might really like to use the cork if I can find some over here in France.
Bumping this up for some new input !

I ordered the plastic stuff (sometimes called coroplast) from amazon.com, so you might see if amazon.fr has it. It's probably not the cheapest way to get it, but it's an option if you can't find it anywhere else.

I tried using the plastic one year but I have so many pins in my bag they didn't seem to stay put. Could be I just had too many of them on it, but since I only go to Disneyland once a year, I want to have as many as possible. I found some new low profile locking pin back that are metal. I am looking very forward to trying them next time. A friend of mine down there turned me onto them. Work great for lanyards also.

Corplas lasts longer than traditional cork. The cork eventually starts to crumble from so much abuse. I wrap my cor plas in duct tape too, it gives it a bit more support and slightly reduces spinning.

With ANY cork or plastic, be careful inserting the pins, push to hard at the wrong angle and you can bend the posts.

Just bumping this up the list a little for some more input !

Good point to make there too thanks, Pixie.
My brother was checking out my pins one day when I had them on a cork board and the one of the pin's posts is now bent practically sideways. Is there an easy way to fix this?
