We have been at DLR the last few days and doing a lot I cast member trading as that's essentially all that seems to be left. I was at the big wagon wheel in Frontierland looking at the pins and there was a lady who had a small trading bag and was showing off her pins. I got to talking with her and asked if she'd like to trade with me (she was looking for hidden mickeys/vinylmations, which I had, and I was looking for some pins from the mystery couples set (the older one) which she had. We had our pins laid out and she was looking through my pins talking about what she liked, and thn another trader came stood between us, started talking to us and then completely pushed me out of the way so he could trade with this lady. He dumped his pins on the counter and started looking through hers, and moved my pins to the side. I get that there is practically no trading going on in DLR with other guests, but when people do crap like this, it helps me to understand a little better why that is.

The thing that sucked the most is she had to leave after trading with this guy, so I didn't get to finish making more than a couple quick trades. I probably should have told him to wait until we were through, but I'm a bit like Rex: "I don't like confrontation!" Oh well, looking forward to better trading experiences in the future. #rantover

Wow!! ... That was super rude of the guy. I've had a similar experience once before I cannot ever imagine doing that to someone.

That lady could've brushed him off too tbh, imo, she's more rude than the guy who pushed you away. But yeah, you always have people that have no manners whatsoever. I would tell him to kindly put his pins back where they came from and wait for his turn, but then again, I like confrontation lol.

That was very rude. I would have told him that he had to wait. If someone is rude like that, they deserve to be put in their place. Sorry that happened to you. On Sundays, there is a huge crowd of traders at the Mexican restaurant near Westward Ho.

I would have politely at first told him to pick up his pins and wait his turn. That you were in the middle of a trade. But like Olaf Olaf, I also have no problem with confrontation. Plus I am a big guy so usually it only takes a nasty look from me.

See, if that was done to me, I would do a Gibbs to the person who cut me off, LOL

I always ask,

I think I would have asked the lady I was trading with if she through trading with me. She might have been finished trading with you and went on to the other person not realizing you still wanted to trade. The third person was definitely rude though.

That was really rude! Sorry that happened to you; actually, I think that both the third person and the original lady were both pretty rude, because the lady should have told him that she was finishing trading some things with you. But maybe she didn't like confrontation either. Anyway, I'm sorry that happened to you! :)

I'd say he was rude, but everyone else already has. Don't let it discourage you. I've dealt with jerky pin trading too. And I hate confrontation too. I hope you're able to make some good trades in the future. You know the best part about when you can't find people to trade with? Go on some rides! I think pin traders forget that there are rides.

I'd like to say I would have confronted him, but I probably wouldn't have. It sucks to be the nice (non-confrontational) guy sometimes. That person needs a lesson in etiquette for sure. Sorry you had to go through that. I'm sure you'll have a better experience next time.

I'm sorry this happened if I was you I would of said excuse me I was first and I would move his bag or put my bag on top of his then he will know how much you mean business! Lol

Sorry this happened to you, as someone still fairly nre to this it surprises me to see people like this.

A couple weeks ago my wife and I were at California adventure and a kid came up to ask if I would trade with him, and I'm not going to say no to a kid, but when he was asking about a pin he wanted his mom came up and started trying to take pins off my lanyard and I asked her not to, but she continued doing it anyways and almost got one that I had put backwards on my lanyard since it was something I had wanted and was able to trade for. It got so uncomfortable for me that I apologized to the boy and just gave him a random pin and walked away and when I looked back the oh so lovely lady gave me the finger...

Honeyyyyyyyyy.....next time bring your gay with you (meeeee) I will not tolerate that kind of rudeness. that is not the disney difference. People will respect you the most when you call them out and set your boundaries. People did that when the tables were out. people do that at DSF. thats redickkkkkkkk.

theres a difference between confrontational and assertive. we all have the right to be assertive. people like that have no class no morals very peasant like.

I have a few thoughts:

1. The guy should have waited his turn
2. You should have told him so
3. She should have told him so
4. If he had better pins than you and she stopped trading with you to trade with him then you're better off trading elsewhere anyways
5. And I only say this because I wasn't there, if you had mostly scrappers, or were "in her mind" dragging on and on, she may have wanted an out and traded with him.

I mention the last because I have traded many times when someone with pins I'm really not interested in will park at my book for 10-15 minutes and just peruse while people with pins I want just walk past because the first is taking too long. I try to be polite but eventually sometimes you just have to toss out a "I'm sorry, I'd like to trade with this person now." or "Well thanks for looking, maybe _that_ person will have the pin you want, you should go check." Haha.
