Would an open edition pin outside the US be a good trader for LE in the US? I hope that makes sense. For instance if I had and open edition pin from Paris and wanted to trade for a limited edition pin from the US; would my pin be considered just as good as a limited edition because it's from Paris? I'm from the US by the way ;) thanks friends! I want to know for general purposes of trading.

depends on the pin, but probably not because people can order OE pins from Paris (still) even though they are in the US.

Well any OE pin really. Like the most recent Frozen ones for example =) I don't really do online trading so if I was trading at Disneyland or DSF for instance, I would think the Paris pin would be a good trader even though it's OE. Like the value is high because it can't be bought in the US. Need opinions from people who do a lot of trading! Thanks for your help so far, Tigger!

They have to be pretty recent. There are a few traders/sellers in the DLR area that get in bulk OE Paris pins from contacts. So Paris OE pins don't trade as well because of that. But some still do. Monster's U pins, Tangled, Brave, Frozen, etc. The newer stuff that people here maybe haven't seen yet or had a chance to get through trade. The Paris rack pins that are really large, nice quality, can do well to the right person and could bring in a lower level LE like a park high LE or specific holiday pin that didn't do too well. They would probably do better against our park OE's and LR's. I had the very large Queen of Hearts and Dumbo rack pins and traded ok. Wreck-It Ralph was ok too.

I would agree with Mark... unless its kind of an easy LE, most Paris OEs wont trade for LEs. its value will be higher than an OE thats currently for sale in the park, but you wont get Flynn PTD with it or anything.

I have traded multiple Paris OEs for LEs, but I have found that it also depends on the character. I trade alice mostly, and since she is quite popular overseas, I often find myself trading for paris pins. With that being said, most of the time, pins overseas work the same way pins over here do. Some of the paris traders feel differently, but they are after US pins haha so its all relative I guess.
