Pinopolis/ACME/HotArt Pin Updates....basically messages from them

I have also not received the cut-outs reported to be shipping in February. Followed-up with the company by sending an email. No response to date.

@TheMickeyMouseRules
Please let us know if you get a reply. I am waiting on a pin too. :(

Can they EVER keep their promises? Glad this is my LAST transaction with them.

I guess I'll give them until Saturday the 9th before I start emailing them. That would give them until the weekend AFTER the end of February to get to the Post Office.

Received a response from the company yesterday... was hoping for something in the neighborhood of: yours pins will ship on xx/xx/xxxx.
***hahaha*** (laugh's on me... again.)
Instead here is the content of the message received:
"The Stitch and Ariel pins should be all finished and on their way soon. I think there was an extended delay because the factory was closed for Chinese New Year."

Did anyone order from the last Pins@cost (last month), and if so, did you receive them?

Is anyone else still missing some cutouts? When they canceled and refunded the Mrs. Potts and Chip pin, they still were producing a few. A post said they would ship in March. I'm missing them. Did anyone get them?

What of the new c/outs did anyone receive? I know they ended up producing three of them and the rest were cancelled. Anyone have pics?

I don't think any of the cut outs have shipped to anyone. I have not heard anything official about them from anyone except the February notice and offer to sell us more pins.

Note: biting tongue.

I'm not liking that you don't have your pins. I'm liking the post because I am missing my last few pins from them, as well.

Not an official update, per se....but someone posted on FB, asking about ACME pins. I described the issues that many of us have had.

I posted this:
ACME is a company that makes pins. For a while, they were affiliated with PinPics and HotArt.

Originally, they sold to non US. Then they started selling subscriptions where you had to buy all the pins released. Then you had to wait months and sometimes years to get the pins (1.5 years). Sometimes pins' releases were cancelled because the final product wasnt approved.

Then they opened a store in Shanghai to sell the same LE100s that they sold previously in a subscription but the backs were different colored metal. So if they sold LE100 gold metal in the subscription, they sold LE100 silver metal in the store. People were in an uproar.

They took orders and money and then took a long time to deliver or refund your purchase. They did not keep good records of purchases. There are still a lot of complaints.

Then they decided to cancel subscriptions and you could order what you wanted to.

Some pins were marketed as exclusive to events but were eventually sold after the events.

Then they sold pins that were in hand only....but people were still waiting for their pins that they had previously ordered when they sold them pre-release.

Now they've gone back to a subscription based service. No idea if they will make people buy all the pins released or not.

For the most part, you can wait til after they are released and get them to close to cost. PinPics may still offer them in ther quarterly Pins@Cost....or via FB live sales (through another affiliated company Pinopolis).

Someone (not me) posted this:

They are actually San Diego based and moving to Las Vegas and totally revamping how they do things. They are now going to sell directly to consumers versus to distributors and yes I’ve been told it will be a subscription based plan they are also dropping some of their prices. I picked up a few pins from them as im local while they were packing up their storage. It’s amazing the designs and quality of their pins. Really neat. I think we will see a lot of positive changes in the future as they ramp up their new offices.
