Hi all:

I use pinpic to keep track of my inventory, as well as to make trades. How much time do you spend on pinpic keeping inventory updated? I was keeping it pretty well updated, then slacked off. It's taken me three days to update it again and I"m still not done :-( Please tell me I'm not the only one spending hours on end.

Thanks
Amy

I'm pretty new to pin trading, so luckily (I guess), I don't have many pins to update! Haha However, I did notice that there are quite a few people who don't update their traders, so when I send requests, they'll respond saying that they don't have it anymore -____-

So... good on you for trying to keep it updated! Good luck :P

I would say after a major trading event I spend about 3-4 hrs updating. When I first set mine up it took me weeks to get is all updated. I don’t even have all my collection in there and it has been 12 years since I have started trading

Its there search function. You could type in ariel and they will still put in pin that have nothing to do with her. Thats what takes so long. P try to narrow it down by the yer cast into the pin. sometimes it helps..lol..

Like any search database, you have to fiddle with the keywords. Typing in a character will take years of sifting through. Try another word, description, pose, something to help thin it down. It searches both titles and the descriptions, so the more specific you can be, usually the better.

Hey,

I love Pinpic :-) I don't have much pin (300) but it's always with pleasure that I look for pin ^^
If you need help, send me picture of your pins, I return it with the number

Mine did take some time to setup and I dont have too many pins (400-ish?). I did what vans4bkah said... a little at a time. I already had my pins on large-boards (kind of organized as well). I just did parts of each board until they were all done. Once you have it up to date, it's easier to keep it updated rather than trying to remember "wait, did I trade that?" :)

I've been collecting since the early 2000's; But for some reason, I wasn't able to keep up with inventory. Now, it's like starting over again. Oh well, it keeps me busy on cold, frigid days in western PA.

WOO WEE... I'm all caught up. Only other pin collectors will understand. My husband just rolls his eyes at me - lol

Great, no matches with me though.

You might want to add your trades and wants at the bottom of your signature.

This will give all of us a direct link to your trades and wants and if we have any matches. Remember you have to be logged into PinPics before clicking on the link. Hope this helps.

I go in after every trade and update my lists. That way I know I am on track and no one will request a pin I have already traded away.
