Heather, I have to agree with you. When I get requests it's for HM's or cupcakes. It is quite an expense to mail them. I also had a very bad experience with a trade through TA. The women had great references(at least fifty) and I never received my pin. I wrote her nicely about the situation and her response was. "You should have received it by now." That was it, not even a salutation or I'll keep checking the mail to see if it is returned. I figure it is lost in the mail, but she won't return my last email that I wrote to her.

Back to the subject at hand, I try to answer all requests. Although, I just realized the other day sometimes they are sent to my SPAM folder. I have determined I'm only going to trade through DPF or PT.

The pinpics TA became a hassle in itself as the email I was using was no longer my primary account. One unfortunate thing I also found out was that TA's were being marked up as spam so I think I only ever replied to a couple before disabling the TA.

Luckily so far I've only been ripped off once. The person had refernces too. I emailed him again yesterday but haven't heard anything...been 2 weeks now

I respond to requests to trade and, if I am offering a low value pin for a high value pin (perceived or otherwise), I always put that I am open to trading multiple pins for their single pin. I also put in a note that I prefer to do multi-pin trades to save on shipping (it costs $2-$2.50 to mail out 1-3 pins) so I prefer to send 3 for the price of 1

One time I offered a jack skellington deebee hidden mickey for a low LE pin. The recipient of my request then countered with 2 pins (one HM and one LE of a higher # that came in a set) for his LE pin (that could be purchased individually). I said ok.

I would LOVE to trade with people. I know that I might have to give 2 or even 3 pins for what I want--and I’m willing to and say so in my comment. But, as many others posted, I get few responses.

For those willing to trade, generally, I’m looking for Boo, Club 33 (I have quite a few--including the REAL castle and carousel pins from that somewhat notorious set, direct from a member, and fake ones from ebay), Minnie’s Moonlit Madness (only 3 of them), and Magic Music Days (again, only 3). I’m really limited in what I want, but am willing to trade pins and other Disney collectibles. If anyone is interested, pm me and we can try.

The other day, I was 2-2 with responses. I even arranged to make a trade, but wanted to know what condition the other person's pin was in. After I asked, I stopped getting a response. Sucks because it was a pin I really wanted too. I'm just glad I didn't go thru with it, because if the trader isn't communicating NOW I can't imagine how they'd be if something goes wrong. Dodged a bullet in my book.

My name says it all "Grumpy", nah j/k guys... No pun intended but what makes me angree is the weak trade requests although I am talking from experiance here but why would I trade a HM for a LE? Well in true trader form if I was in front of you in person I would offer to trade & you would simply counter the offer with a better trade. The differance is people are just too lazy to take the time to look over a traders wants & stuff cause they may feel offended by the TR. I try but not all the time I will respond to an email but I too alot am just lazy insted of grumpy on a reply. This is me being honest feel free to disagree ;-)

Welcome to the forum. If you have a pinpics ID you can enter it under the settings (top right tab above) That will allow other members to see if they have any matches to your trades/wants.

<---------- It will show up here under your avitar

I got a "no" back today from a request I sent on June 10th. Punctuality must not be hos strong point lol!

I hate when people don't at least send back a "not at this time" response back. Some are nice enough to say yay or nay to my request but it isn't often.
