My nephew is at Tokyo disneyland right now and emailed me and said there are a lot of pins there but he has no way of posting me pictures to let me know what is available, does anyone know what kind of pins tokyo disneyland has available, are they they same as the OE rack pins that we have?
any information would be much appreciated
thank you

i know it took me absolutely forever to get my grail that was an open edition tokyo pin. a lot of there pins dont seem to make it into circultaion as easily.

what was your grail pin? I am having a hard time finding any pins on pin pics for tokyo disneyland, there are so few listed and really nothing new except for these
do they have different princess pins than we do, like snow white, rapunzel, ariel etc.

the handpuppet tins are super cute and the beach scenes. I have them in my collection. they have some cute Belle, Aurora and Cinderella spinners too. check on ebay that might give you even a better idea. Just search hkdl pins.

Hong Kong and Japan pins are different. I'm not sure what pins they currently have, but they are more into "cute" characters like the Fab Five and Stitch...so I doubt they would have many (if any) princess pins. They also don't have cast member trading in the Japan parks so pins in general aren't as popular over there. :)

These pins you can only get if you play the GAMES at DisneySea (by the Arabian Coast). They are unique to Japan. You pay 500 yen to play, just make sure you tell your nephew to lose because if he wins he gets a giant stuffed animal instead!

Watch out for the RACK pins at Tokyo Disney that have the BLACK BACKING CARD. These will be the same ones you can get in the States.

Anything with COLORFUL backing cards should be UNIQUE to Japan.

ETA: The regular Disney STOREs (not at the parks) are different, the black backing thing does not apply. Almost anything you get in the Stores should be unique to Japan.

My nephew knows nothing about pins, I kind of thought that they didn't have a whole lot, I know somewhere I read a blog about tokyo disneyland and they took pictures of what they found in the stores will have to try to find out where the blog was
thank you for all your responses and if anyone else knows anything please let me know thanks

I wrote the blog. I'm posting the link here, it is basically what I said above, everything you need to know about pins in Japan:

There are several seasonal Duffy pins that are unique to TDS. These are often tied to spring, summer, or winter celebrations. If you are looking to trade or sell, those Duffy pins and Duffy merchandise would be items that I would bring back. There are also unique Oswald pin and merchandise at TDR, that rarely finds its way over the Pacific.

I think he has already left, he really didn't know a thing about pins so I am not sure if he got anything else besides these
