Pins designed for lanyard use, is this new concept?

Just saw those in park today and wondering...
 
These are different from the ones that came out several years ago. I looked on pinpics and couldn't find these ones.
 
there are some peek-a-boo pins like that, here is one:

came out in 2008.

The ones that came out then had a larger series, but Mickey, Minnie, Chip & Dale were there (not the same pose)

Thanks Wintersorcerer! That's the one I was looking for unsuccessfully. I thought it was about 2008.
 
Hmm, I guess if you wanted to put these on a board you would have to implement a lanyard or other fabric inside the frame that it could attach to. Would have to be more of a shadow box then I guess? I like the concept a lot since they have parts that fold over the lanyard itself.
