Hey all. I have made MANY trades here and via pinpics- as well as in person. Maybe i have been lucky but alas i have gotten screwed. I made a trade with a member on here, who has not completed the trade and now has refused to answer my PM regarding the trade, like i dont exist. Oddly when i look back at the PM's he asked HOW I WANT IT MAILed? Do I want Confirmation? I thought nothing of it and said no.

Over 2 weeks later no pin. No response to PM's about the pin except for one lame, "oh let me swing by the post office to see". Now if you dont have a confirmation or tracking number why go to the post office.

I post this because i went to a mediator and this DPF memeber has had other complaints. Sadly, for what ever reason His feedback does not really show any negative feedback (1 neutral) and i know he has had other problems. Everyone please leave feedback and check feedback before you offer or accept a trade. I think i got caught up in the excitement of the trade and i got to trusting in this community of traders.

I did go through every channel, made every effort and did state that i would leave negative feedback as well as a thread if i did not hear from him at all by this past Monday, and today is wednesday so here i am.

Such a shame this ended badly!
I trade a lot and organise them on forums so I understand it can be easy to just get used to trusting people as most people on here (and other places) are reliable traders like you are. It's just such a shame that we all have to watch out for a few bad eggs!

I hope this works out alright for you in the end! x
 
Sorry to hear about your bad experience Dawny....it's unfortunately those small minority that spoil it for us all, and take the enjoyment from trading - I hope you get this resolved, and remember that the majority of us are not this this trader!! What a shame, I hope it wasn't a valuable pin you have lost. What goes around comes around and I'm sure the trader will get just desserts. xxx
 
I'm so sorry Dawny. :( It stinks to see honest traders like you have to go thru this. Hopefully calling it out on the boards will bring this person from the woodwork and this person will do the right thing.
 
well judy this is the pin, but honestly its not the pin its the principle. Its cute, but i'll live. I just want to remind people to check references, ask around and most of all LEAVE REFERENCES...the more positive ones, it shows your trustworthy and i will now hestitate or refuse people with neutral or nagatives. Thats why i like it on here better than dizpins becuase that is only positive feedbacks.

Nah...I've been pin trading for years, there have always been dishonest/flakey traders, nothing new there. LOL...

I hope it works out and you get your pin. I had an experience once where I had a trade set up, I sent out my pin, I do Delivery Confirmation so I know it got there, same thing, I didn't get my pin, didn't get it, e-mailed the trader, no response...finally, WEEKS later, I get the pin (this wasn't an international trade or anything), with a note from the trader's FATHER saying something like, Here is your pin, sorry it took so long, he's just been really busy, and something to the effect of I hope you won't hold it against him. I was glad to get the pin, but sorry bub, I didn't leave a reference, if you're too busy to trade, fine, but then DON'T TRADE! Anyway, I meant to say maybe you'll still get it, just *extremely* late!

Can you PM me and tell me who this person is, especially since there have been problems before? I am just starting (again) to do trades via mail and I'd rather avoid this person if he's not to be trusted...thanks!

Hannette and I had a trade going after she moved to HI from CA..she had to wait for all her pins to arrive..so they must have as shes trading now:)
and I was going to mention to Hannette..who your"trader"was..as you know I know it:)Hannette and I go way ,way back...we have traded before on the"OLD"Dizpins forum...
thats why I was teasing her..LOL!!OH I can be a DORK too..LOL!!
