Problem with Free-D

I recently put all my pins in a pin bag and today I noticed a pin with Free-D has turned blackish on the rubber part, I guess from rubbing against the bag. Any advice on how to clean it? I tried a few things; alcohol, dish soap, vinegar - no luck. I think it might be permanently stained. Has anyone else had this problem?
 
i had some success using Magic Eraser, and also just a pencil eraser on mine. Might depend on what the stain is, but worth a shot!
