Question about my collection
Lady Dobbins, I would keep all your mansion pins and trade some of your other themed pins. I mainly collect as many mansion pins as I can, but I really limit my other themes such as Alice; I only have about 15 or 20 pins not including the April 2, 2011 frame set from DLR's event. Then I only have 6 Tinkerbell pins. The most of another theme I have is about 30 Pirate pins. I try to keep those themes scaled back to a reasonable amount, while allowing myself to go hog wild on mansion pins! It works out pretty good.
I LOVED HM! The interactive thing was awesome, I went on it twice and got two different endings. It was fun! You should pop your pins on a cork board and take a pic, I'd ove to see your hms <3
Hehe, yeah that pin, I have no idea what is going on!
Psycho Pixie said:HM pins... so many. You can't be a completest anyway unless you collect nothing else at all. Look at my siggy, you are not collecting "to many" things. Just pick and choose what you like from each catagory. I don't collect every single Thumper, only him alone, or him and miss bunny, and I have to like the pin too. I pick and choose the pins in a catagory. Being a completist in this hobby is crazy hard.
Trade away my dear trade away!
Thanks!I just had a look at your collection on PinPics and it really would be a shame if you're going to trade those beautifull HM pins.
Maybe keep what you really really like, not every single pin. Or only HM (and Hitchhiking Ghosts) and Phantom Manor and only the pins you really love
Just my opinionDon't be to quick with trading those pins away
Oh and you know if you ever need some pins from Paris to use as traders or for your own collection or what ever, you know you can always ask me and I love to pick them up.
Don't charge anything extra, just the price of the pin and shipping. So if you need help, just ask
Awww, I love cartoony ghosts! XD Probably because I think Ezra looks great all toony. But anyhow yeah trying to collect all the HM pins would be crazy.Take some time and think about what you really want to keep- don't be too hasty in trading away pins you love just because you think your collection may be too broad. If you have a change of heart later, it may be really hard to try and trade back for those pins you decided to trade out.
As a HM collector myself, I began collecting EVERYTHING HM in addition to Maleficent, Sleeping Beauty, Evil Queen, NBC, Lion King (just Tumbaa), and other randon oddball stuff that I liked. It got expensive very quickly. And unless you are $$$rich$$ it's pretty impossible to collect all the HM pins out there although I really tried. LOL. So I decided to narrow my focus. In regards to HM, I now stay away from "cartoon" ghosts, ghosts dressed as other characters, ghosts riding attractions (except maybe the doombuggies), name badges, and others that don't seem "true" HM pins to me or are just plain ugly.
As for traders, I see great deals on the DPF sale boards all the time. That may be an inexpensive way to get some licensed and inexpensive traders to use. You can try auction sites but be careful and do your "scrapper" homework/research.
Everyone has there own take on what to collect. Ive seen many of my friends collect a hell of alot more themes than you mentioned and they just get what they can and trade for the rest. I say you could easily go ahead and collect what you like but do it on what takes priority. If you dont see any HM pins you want around but you see something else you like from what you collect get that. There is no harm in slowly collecting different themes.
I too have recently felt that some of my stitch pins were a bit meh and bought in the moment of when I first started trading and now am either selling or trading them away and Im not regreting it at the moment as Ive been able to get some of my holy grails from it.
good luck in your decision. and if you go to DLP this year then try for the xmas event me and a friend are hoping to go to this year..maybe we could make it a british invasion
Well least I'm not the only one collecting a lot of themes. ^_^;
The Xmas season eh? Hmmm... I didn't consider that. I was planning on going some time when there isn't a holiday celebration on as I wanted to see the Manor as it usually is. Photo oppitunties and all that. I'm not sure what the Manor looks like at Christmas... unless it looks like it usually does. XD
What's the Christmas season like at DLRP?
Ive only been to paris once and that was in a january. im not sure what the park looks like during christmas. if it snows like last year then decorations wont matter
You can keep trying to collect HHG if you want but remember, last time we were at WDW they came home with my wife, my son and me.
