My boyfriend, my parents, and I are at WDW for the week. The last time I came, I remember running into SO many guests (not just CMs, but guests too) who would gather at certain spots of the resort and pin trade.

My mom and I totally hyped up how much pin trading goes on, but we were all greatly disappointed when we spent our day here and didn't pin trade with ANY guests (okay okay, I did make one trade with a little girl).

So, where does everyone pin trade here?? We asked a couple CMs where guests go to pin trade, and everyone replied at the marketplace in Downtown Disney, but like 75% of the marketplace is closed. -_-

We were/are super stoked to pin trade, so any hot spot suggestions would be super awesome.

Thanks guys!

They got rid of the pin trading tables at DTD. The only place now are the tables at Epcot by the pin trading store

The pin trading at Epcot was closed though..?

And what about the Boardwalk? I do remember one cast member saying that pin trading happened at the hotels; yay or nay?

The Epcot tables are closed temporarily, your best bet is to check out the gathering board and see if any local groups like central Florida pin traders are hosting a trading night.

When we went two years ago it was like this even though there were tables at various locations.

We we made plans ahead of Time with fellow DPF's and we had a very nice turn out and that's where we did our trading! We had a blast!

The trading isn't done like in D-Land, where everyone is in a certain location every Thursday & Sunday.

Its just different.

Hopefully some Floridian's will see your thread and offer to meet up!

alright, Epcot for trading at the tables<when there>
DTD tables gone<again not new info>
Boardwalk, does trading at PIN Cart on Boardwalk, but only at certain times, and check at Front desk of Hotel..
and speaking of Hotels, try doing what we local like to do,,,
The Lake side Hotel Sashsha, or the whole of the lake,,, Boat or drive or whatever to the Beach Club resort, go inside there, Bonnie the head of Guest Relations stocks thier pinbook regularly and is an avid collector, ask her about her Daughters collection, Then go from GS, where they do have a pin book, to the gift shop, and snak counter,Where approx ten employees and other guests are usually involved in some pin trading<here Ms Bonnie loads the lanyards herself so they tend to be more genuine>
From there stroll past the cool pirate water slide to the Yacht club and repeat procedure at both GS and gift shops,,, and back out into the heat,,,now the athletic or energetic will take the walk around lake 2 to the Swan and Dolphin, Each having a gift shop with pin boards inside, and during the daytime not much in activity as most guest are out in the parks<ie board employees with lanyards and pinboards can make great trading chances>

Now the long haul , did I mention this is about a 3 mile round trip?
back to the Boardwalk itself, past the DVC shop and several great restraunts to stop for lunch<now you know why we put the halfway point on this side of the lake instead of starting here at Boardwalk, and after checkin the Staff here,, its only a hop and a skip to the best ice cream on property,,,,,, ;
One incredible chocolate overload later.....

We are ready to either keep the loop going and return to the Beach club or vere to the right at the top of the hill, and oh yes , with a belly full of ice cream it is a hill, and head into Epcot,,,,

Sadly there is no organized pin trading by either Disney or CFPC till mid OCT at earliest.. Sorry!!!

Re. the Epcot trading tables (when there) ...there are some people who often set up there to 'trade', but you never have anything they want ...but if you buy them a certain pin over at MouseGears, they will trade you that HM for a brand new rack pin! I've stood nearby and listened to one guy do this to 3 people in a row.
