I think the Disney Pin site already answered my question, but will the opening day pins for Buena Vista St & Carsland on June 15th be released only in DCA or all the pin stores at DLR? It states on each pin DLR, but I wasn't sure if DLR would have any or not being that they represent DCA only. I'm interested in the $135.00 trolley car set. I'm going to brave the crowds on this Sunday the 17th!

They never put DCA on ODPT as the location, they count DCA as part of DLR. They only do that so you know it's either WDW, DLR, DLRP, or DSF, etc. The lands/parks within are counted as the whole.

I am sure the Trolley set will be there on Sunday. It's too expensive and most people will pass I think. I am braving crowds Friday AM if you want to paypal me the money I can get it Friday morning just to be safe.

I'm also still debating on getting the Lanyard Medal/Pin for $25. Anyone collect lanyard medals that want just that?

Markheardjr, thanks for your generous offer! But I think I'll have a really good chance to get one on Sunday morning and I don't do paypal anyway. I plan to be there at 8:00am or so.

There's a medal and lanyard set??? I haven't been able to see that.

I actually started collecting lanyards before pins.

Any guesses on where the leftover Opening Day merchandise will be sold after Friday?

I'd guess Fly 'n Buy and Curio's Curiosities if they make room for them. Curio's didn't seem to have any LE space left for sales. No LE showcase either. I think Sarge's Surplus had a showcase, can't remember. They did have some of the left over Preview merchandise back behind Toy Story Mania in that Boardwalk store. I didn't go in the new BIG store (*Five & Dime is the name of this store) in the opening walk way so I don't know what pins or pin displays they might have in there.

To me it seems like they were trying to keep the Cars merchandise in the stores in Cars land. I did go the the Five and Dime on Buena Vista Store last Saturday and they had no pins. I asked the manager and they said they were still waiting for the shelving. I asked what type of pin selection they would have, it sounded like it was going to be rather basic.

Does anyone really think there will be that many leftovers from opening dry? I was getting worried everything will be sold out by the time I get into the park, and I'm braving the crowds on Friday!

Can someone please post tomorrow or Sat. as to exactly where they're selling all the carsland opening day pins/sets? I'm going bright & early Sunday morn. and it would really help to know where to go to buy them, thanks!

Where exactly is the animation bldg located? I saw that a lot of mercandise will be sold there, but wasn't sure about the pins.

It's next to Off the Page, where you do Turtle Talk with Crush, and learn to draw the Disney figures.

Thanks for all the info SkellysGirl! I really appreciate any info so I can decide my plan of action on where to go first to get these pins! I'm especially interested in the trolley car set and some of the Buena Vista St pins! Also, to anyone out there, can you please let me know if these opening day pins are also available in Disneyland as well as DCA. That way I can just go to Little Green Men Store Command and just get them there without having to enter the already crowded DCA, thanks!

There's now way these will be in DLR tomorrow and I very highly doubt DLR on Saturday or even Sunday. They will be in DCA only and a fair amount of the single pins will sell out day of release. The Cars Land opening day stuff will sell out first along with the LE1000 Walt/Mickey statue pin. The Trolley car and Buena Vista stuff later I think. Depends on edition sizes. Lots of people collect opening day pins. There are a few in the LE3000-LE5000 that might last the weekend. I think the pricier sets and framed items will last longer. Any leftovers will be either still in the Animation building (Sat-Sun only my guess,) Fly'n'Buy, or Curio's Curiosities in Cars Land. Maybe those other places I already mentioned above. Maybe, after a week or so they will show up at LGM or DTD. Definetly not the next day though.
You better plan to get there early on Sunday. I guarantee the park will fill to capacity and you may have to wait just to get in the park.

Thanks for the advice Markheardjr! I thought that might be the case, but someone please post in the next couple days what they see in the parks, pin wise. And yes, sunday I plan to get to the Mickey & friends parking structure hopefully by 7:30am. Hopefully DCA won't reach full capacity until noon or so! At least I'm not arriving from a long distance, thank goodness!
