Hi, I am very new to collecting pins and I was wondering if anyone can tell me which Tangled POMH pins were rare or if there is a breakdown of how many pins came from each scene. I was thinking of buying one I particularly like but it seems like it is very expensive, however maybe that means it is rare? I don't want to spend more than I should be if it is a scene I might be able to find more of. I tried to find a thread on this subject but didn't see any. Thanks!
 
Rare or most wanted?

Most wanted, IMO:

1. 4 Characters with hair in knot
2. 4 Characters looking at each other
3. Rapunzel and Red Pascal in forest
4. Castle/Dancing scenes, including kiss.
5. Rapunzel healing Flynn's hair, the more hair glowing the better
6. Anything with Pascal
7-?? The rest. Flynn only, Rapunzel only in Gondola, Gondola with back of Rapunzels head or slumped on gondola ends.
Second to last, Dark scenes on boat with just one character and hardly any lanterns.
Last, Anything with just Rapuznels head and no character faces

I believe the most sought after scene is the scene where Flynn is holding up Rapunzel's hair, and Max and Pascal are also in the cel. One went for the crazy amount of $400 on eBay a week after release, and I think any scene w/ all 4 characters is more sought after than other scenes. After that, I think good gondola close ups are popular, and the kingdom dance scene where Flynn and Rapunzel are holding hands dancing. I don't have photos, but somebody will probably elaborate on what I've said soon anyway. :) Hope I helped a little! ^_^
 
That is helping. The one I was wanting was Flynn holding all of Rapunzel's hair but it is very expensive. I am not sure I will get it. I also want some of the other scenes (wish I could get one of each) especially her glowing hair. Is there one where her hair glows all the way through? I did buy one with Rapunzel only on the Gondola and no lanterns in the sky yet, but you can see almost all of her flowered braid going down her back which is why I love it so much. She is not slumped down and she is looking up excitedly at the sky seeing the lanterns for the first time. It doesn't seem too dark either, but it was a cheaper pin in comparison to the other ones I want.

Each pin has a unique cell cut from the film - but with 24 frames per second, many pins will have cells that are almost identical. They did not take just a few cells and reproduce them for the pins. This year, Disney had done a much better job at selecting parts of the film that have the main characters in them - unlike the ones from last year where there were lots of scenes that had just backgrounds, were really dark, animals behinds, or just minor characters :doh:
 
ive been trying to find these scenes.... i just dont fancy paying out the prices ppl are selling them for on the ( bay site )

3. Rapunzel and Red Pascal in forestis a holy holy G for me ( in my dreams )
4. Flynn, Pascal, and Maximus with his smile

but will have to keep looking me thinks :) :) :)
 
I would love to see a pic of the red pascal one, I don't even remember that in the movie! How many times have I watched it...? 1, 7, 15....63? LOL

It is the beginning of the "Drop the Boot" scene. The are sleeping in the forest and Maximus finds them. Rapunzel and Pascal are startled awake by the sound of Maximus and Flynn fighting. (I think that is my exact pin BTW! :lol:)
 
I know all of you love these pins and i dont know how long they have been around but i just dont see anything i would like. I loved the POH but these are going crazy.
prices online are out there and people are paying it. i guess i might feel different if i wanted them but my wallet is very happy by not. LOL Did these replace the POH. Can you tell i have been out of the loop?

I now really want one with a red Pascal. I haven't posted enough yet but when the time comes I might just trade my glowing hair to someone if they have that scene...or even if they have certain other scenes with the lanterns. Sigh. They are so expensive on ebay.

Do you think they will always be so much?

The glowing hair doesn't go for as much as red Pascal (unless you have the full frame of Rapunzel healing Flynn and all the glowing hair)

I really like this pin. I picked it up at WDW, Frontierland Trading Post, after looking at a few pins, this one was still on the rack so I grabbed it! :-)

The one I have has most of her hair glowing (just a bit little less than the one posted in this thread). I think that is as much of the hair that glows in the scene as possible looking at screen caps.

Very true. I love the red Pascal scene because Rapunzel looks so startled. I like odd expressions.
