Reflections of Evil sold out already?
Although I had the opportunity to register for both days as well as the breakfast I opted to only register for Saturday with no breakfast. This is my first event and don't really know what to expect. I would rather be there and think, "Man, I wish I had registered for that" as opposed to "Man, this sucks...what a waste of money." Also, as much as I say it is all about pinning, I HAVE to have some park fun too.

The one thing, from years past, I will MISS THE MOST is .... the DESSERT BUFFET !!!! LOVE that Disney chocolate Sugar makes Tiggers bouce higher!! Will just have a buy a Disney cupcake while I am there - YUM!!

Not even close to the best Disney dessert. The best dessert I've ever had was from the club level at Contemporary. The second best thing are Minnie apples at the candy shop on Main St. OK, they are not cheap (cheap and Disney don't belong in the same sentence) but WOW are they good. Everything else is an also run. For me, anyway.

Don't forget that Thursday is early registration and pin trading. Usually 12 till 10pm. 6 till 10 usually PTN. A lot of people didn't get Friday. Everyone should set up a pin meet for that day.

Well, for me it's the exact opposite. Since I didn't get Friday I'm not going to bother showing up early, so no Thursday trading night for me!!

Some people also mentioned ordering pins already. Is the RSP open? Given the hard line for Friday, I'd really hate to miss signing up for the pins!

Any information is always appreciated...

The RSP was open immediately after you were confirmed but now it has changed and the new RSP info will be released "soon"

So when i did my rsp on momday i saw 50 spots does everyone put something down in all 50? And then same thing on the 2 nd round and 3 rd round? I only listed my top 15 ? And now we habe to do it again i was wondering how many i should actually put down?

I've never actually done an RSP before so I'm wondering if it is a good idea to do all 3? I don't want to get stuck paying for multiple things that I only want 1 of. Any tips for this first time pin event goer are appreciated

Since they've decided to have 3 separate RSP's for the 3 types of merchandise, I wonder if there will still be 3 rounds of RSP's? Regardless, I think the separate RSP categories will make it harder to get the pins one really wants.

so.... pin trading is on thursday night? and the event is friday saturday?

so if We want to do any trading we need to get there thursday morning not thursday night.... ok.

In the past there has also been trading in the back during the days of the event. I don't know if they'll have that this year or not. Also that takes away from pin trading board time. We usually go back there at the end of the day when it's too late to get back in a line but some people trade all during the day.

Thursday early registration is always the best trading day of the event. Everyone picks up their merchandise and then starts trading, it usually is a 10 hour trading marathon. Pin trading Nite is usually 6 to 10. Rumors are spreading that this is when they will release the Rapunzel PTN pin.

I would expect Friday to be between 400-500 people and Saturday will be packed to the max. The maximum capacity for the building is 1500 people so including staff, they couldn't have more than 1400 guests. It's worth going just to have access to the RSP forms. The pins are super nice and I'm sure Saturday will have surprises as well. Hope to see everyone there. I'm going Friday, Saturday and breakfast.

I'm not a vinyl collector so if someone needs something off the vinyl RSP let me know. I have an RSP that I'm not going to use.

We will be there the 7th through the 15th. I'll be the one riding everything saying "California's version is better!!!" :hsd: J/K, Although I know that will be true in some cases!

Debby and I (gbdb4ever) are registered for Friday and Saturday including the breakfast. Our daughter, Marilyn (bayoujazz21), will be there as well. We will be there from the 10th to the 15th and will be attending the MNSSHP on the 10th. Hope to see many of you there.

It still baffles me that that Friday sold out. Did they really limit tickets to that day to 1/3 of what they normally do? This is pin celebration. Its a trading event. Lets not fill the space we have so people can trade with more people.

I don't see anything that was advertised for the plans for Friday that justifies it being so limited. With the demand, they can probablly add 1000 more tickets. Why not make a few more gifts, make a few more lunches and then collect an extra $113,000.

The ONLY change is that the original 2 day Pin Event is now broken up into 2 separate days with the First Day being a combo Event. NOW Vinylmation people can have a "2 Day" weekend (Friday & Sunday) as well as Pin people having a "2 Day" weekend (Friday & Saturday). Before, Pins got center stage for 2 days & Vinlymations for only 1. This appears to be an expansion of the Vinylmation market into the traditionally Pin related Annual Event.
It's still the same - IF you want the whole experience, you pay for 3 days. NOW it's just paying for EACH DAY instead of buying a 2 day Package & then a 1 day Package. The RSP "competition" is still the same. Disney is just seeing the potential for making more money while giving people interested in both Hobbies a better experience.

Just my opinion, TTFN
