Hello Everyone,
I'm looking for some advice for some fake pins I got from eBay (purchases from my younger days of collecting, lol). I would like to use them as an embleshment for my scrapbooks and was wondering if anyone had a technique to remove the post from the pin.

Thank you!

Whenever I get a pin with a bent post I usually try to use needle-nose pliers to straighten them out. But, in the act of trying to straighten them out, I have broken off a few. So you may want to try that.

I have tried straightening then on the edge of a table and have also accidentally broken them off . . . . lol . . watch u will try these and because u actually do want to break it off it wont lol . . .

I straightened one on the edge of my table last night. But I pushed the stupid thing into the table, so now there's a hole there. But hey, the post is straight again!

Cheapest way is useing quarters :3 I used to fix broken ones and give them away if the pins were in good shape. I typically would take a rubber mickey back and put it on the pointy part and just wedge the quarter in and wiggle it..comes right off most times.

You can then use a high grade sandpaper to sand down the left over post and post bump!
