Retracting Bids in the DPF Auctions?
I was super irked by this on an auction I had recently. The bidder I had at #1 had bid an uber grail of mine but changed the bid and thus someone else ended up winning the auction. I was super happy with the winning bid, but it bothered me that the person at #1 kept changing their bid....

Better yet, add a rule for no ties for 1st place. Personally, if I am tied I will not add a pin. A tie to me is just an attempt to get more by the auctioner. I will wait and if the other person bids then I may, but if not, I will let it ride out. Imagine if eBay allowed people to bid the same amount and then you were tied for winning bidder. It would be a game of chicken to see who would bid more, probably at the last second. Ties are no good. Get rid of them.

I understand what people are saying about ties, but the fact of the matter is very simple, nobody is forcing anybody else to add to their bids. If you don't like ties, don't bid more and let the chips fall where they may. I try not to have ties, but it isn't just me deciding. It lets everybody know about where they are. I am not asking for more pins, just more time.

Oh and ebay does allow ties, in the end if you bid the same price as another bidder and they bid first they win. It is still my choice to add more or not.

Oh and I would have no problem locking in the top 3 bids.

Thank you very much for your feedback regarding auction bids. We (being DPF Staff) appreciate it very much and are taking it into consideration. Nothing has been decided yet, but I wanted you to know that we are reading this thread and listening to your concerns and thoughts - and everything said will be factored into the updated Auction House rules.
