Oooh, interesting. 300 is a bit steep, and I don't see anything I can't live (figuratively speaking) without. That's a bit disappointing!

By the way, is that your little one in your avatar? I think that picture is so DARLING!

!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Looks like its WDW based. But those pins and that metal look nice!!!

Oh, and yes, this event is supposed to be for the 40th anniversary of the Florida mansion.

If there is anyone who is a WDW fan and doesn't know, WDWNT is possibly the best website and podcast for keeping up with park news.

What a joke of an event!

Here is a diehard Mansion fan, not only would I not fly to WDW for this event, which I was prepared to do should an event appear, but the merchandise is paltry at best! Merchandise Events sure have hit rock bottom in the last 4 years.

$285 for twelve hours of basically sitting at the Contemporary, an opportunity to purchase merch that will undoubtedly end up all over WDW (and proly DLR).

Sorry, Disney, you haven't made an argument for me to come to WDW for the weekend...

Those mystery pins look pretty sweet. $285 for an event seems pretty nuts, though. Hopefully the Mystery Boxes are all over the park ASAP.

Yow! It's a good thing I don't collect HM! That seems really pricey, and I can't see that you're getting much for your $...

I can't believe how expensive this is to... sit in a hotel for a day. There are a few items that I want, but no way I'm spending $300 just to sponsor someone. Might consider a part sponsorship though.

I was all set to try and register for this event filled out the questions that were supposed to be answered I figured since I'm going to be in WDW why not try and see if I get picked Until I got to the price!! and went I guess I will stick to going to MNSSHP which is the same night and will just hope some of the things will be available afterwards!!!
I was thinking of doing both but since the dinner portion of the event is around the time of the halloween party the 7 dwarfs won out!!! was even going to see if anyone wanted to sponsor me but like i said the dwarfs won my heart instead
didnt really like to much of the things anyway wish they would havea price so you could do it but not have the dinner portion that I would do!!!

Glad you liked Doombuggies.com! It's a GREAT site if your a Haunted Mansion fan!

Yeah I just recently started collecting Constance, and with collecting such a character comes many Haunted Mansion stories told by many parties, which can become overwhelming.
Getting to read into the history of my favorite character + the ride as a whole was awesome!
Now I just can't wait to get to the park to ride it

I can't help but compare to the Happy Haunts Ball I attended in 2003. I don't remember the cost, but it was AT WDW MK. I think we ate in the "all purpose area" behind "Dole Whip" and then we got to ride the Mansion several times. It was primarily a pin event, as I recall. I'm with the folks that don't want to spend $285 for a Contemporary- only event. I know it is a "general" merchandise event, but I'm not all that crazy about the few pins shown. :-(

I'm hoping they are keeping the best things under wraps other words this is very dissapointing.

Happy Haunts Ball in 2003 "Ezra package" the least expensive was $109.99. It was the Event of the infamous "Red Cup" good-by gift!!

Remember that things/events like this have a way "of getting better" as the event day comes closer. I wouldn't write off this thing as of now. IMHO as currently listed its too expensive for my pocketbook.

I do hope some of the merchandise makes it to DLR, especially the John Wind Haunted Mansion Necklace. Jewelry is another one of my great passions. Also love the Black White cameo mystery box collection.

thanks Mike, yes I did the Ezra pkg....we had lots of fun. All of it was in the park, right? And yes the "red plastic cup" as we left was disappointing, but they DID send us that extra gift by mail, since they heard we weren't happy about it

I was so hoping for a DL-style Mansion 40th. I loved the event we had out here! In the parks, at the Mansion, with all my friends, great times, fantastic memories, above average gifts and merchandise. I don't see any of the above associated with this event. I'm really disappointed!

I signed up just for kicks, there's no way I'd ever actually buy a plane ticket from OC, but I'd help someone out if they wanted to pay some of it and help out with some of the merchandise that I would like. PM me if you're interested in attending at a reduced price and willing to help me out with merchandise!
