Sadness and Glee all around the same time~
DISCLAIMER: Before anyone starts attacking me or my Secret Santa, understand that this is just me explaining what went through my head and how karma is ever watchful!
So I finally opened my mail to see different packages and of course I opened the big one first but I didn't recognize the address.
Well, there was no note so I'm not sure if it was Secret Santa or not but if it IS then let me tell you what went through my mind.
I opened it to reveal.... a make up/pencil bag. I looked inside the envelope and was staring at it blankly, nothing else, not even a note inside. :|
I opened the bag to see if maybe something was put inside there? First pocket, nothing. Second pocket? No note but 1 pin. Cheapest it's going for right now is $6 on the bay buy it now. I thought "Ok, fine maybe that's all that person can afford and maybe that means the bag was $4-5." Now the RULES state it had to be in that $10 value range, so this isn't me saying "I wanted something expensive". Unfortunately when I went to a certain store I saw one very similar to it for much less than $4, and considering its nowhere online nor on the bay, I knew my assumption must have been right.
Now, you can imagine the slight disappointment and the thoughts going through my head. I was so disappointed that I didn't remember the other packages the entire day.
After some time went on wrapping gifts for my family & friends I kept trying to convince myself I was just being a brat and that I shouldn't be so petty.
"They didn't follow the rules though, perhaps I should report them."
"It's the season of giving, maybe they spent loads already and tried their best."
"-.-; It has Tiana and Cinderella on the bag, the two princesses I dislike the most."
"Well if you think about it, majority of Disney Princess merchandise has those two on almost everything, can't help that."
"I went all out for my Secret Santa though, everyone else at least got a note!"
etc etc
Obviously you can tell at this point I was clearly arguing with myself :crazy:. After a while I decided that I wasn't going to make a big deal about it and just forget the whole thing.
Points I ended with were:
1. Even though it has the 2 girls I dislike on it, I can always use it to put stocking stuffer gifts for my little cousin.
2. The pin IS Ariel and she is part my current collection.
So, Thank You Secert Santa!
Now!
As I was cleaning up the wrapping paper and such I noticed the other packages on the table I completely forgot about. I picked one up and noticed it was a pin I got to give as secret gift :wat:, now I just need to track down their address~
And the third, I opened it without even reading where it came from don't know how I missed it :suspect: and saw an empty box folded up with a velvet backing and a bubbled wrapped pin.
The light bulb STILL hadn't clicked so while putting it down and reading the note I saw it was from David & Amy!
Thank you both! And it is as awesome a the frame! It's from my most wanted and it totally caught me by surprise!
